definitely worth it with just enough water to cover the holes and a few cubes of ice. the cold makes the vapor contract, and tastes extra rich
Definitely worth it. I just got mine a week ago, and I have spent equal time using the wand, and using the wand with the bong w/ ice. Definitely improves the vapor. Plus it's really cool to watch the vapor flow over the ice. Here's a pic of my setup:Pseudonymous said:Nice setup you have there. Do you find the bong is worth it though? From my experience so far, the vapour seems adequately cool and "not dry" for the bong to seem like "overkill" of sorts, but I've never used one and am really curious.
Lots of us have been there, at least i know my first ebay chinese no name box was a POS.CheechAndBong said:Like a lot of people, my first vaping experience was with a crap model.
How fast are you drawing? Try setting the temperature knob to around 1:00 to 2:00 and try and make a draw last 15-20 seconds, see if that helps you out.Soaper said:Is there any way to know if your unit is heating up to the correct temperature? I just got an SSV.
Any help, tricks, tips, ideas on how to make sure I've got good temp and/or how to correct what I might be doing wrong that is preventing me from making vapor on my new machines would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Where does it click on? In general, SSV knobs are installed so that the units turn on at about 8 o'clock or so, and a good vaping temp is around 12 o'clock. You can take the knob off, and reinstall it so that it turns on at 3 o'clock if you want.NoSmoke said:All SSV's are different, mine doesnt reach decent vape temps till 2:30 3:00, start low and move your way up!
