'story' is the development of jartech?
Would that be the same as "bottle tech"?
'story' is the development of jartech?
https://www.instagram.com/diet.funk/?hl=enCan anyone tell me the name of the guy on instagram who's entire 'story' is the development of jartech?
I thought bottle tech referred to a packing technique prior to pressing.Would that be the same as "bottle tech"?
I thought bottle tech referred to a packing technique prior to pressing.
Jar tech involves a treatment applied to pressed rosin to change consistency.
I think it involves sealing the rosin in a jar and heating the whole jar over several hours or days which seperates terps/THC.
Terps are still sealed in the jar though, and crystals of THC form a crust on top.
Everything I just typed is subject to numerous forms of ignorance and idiocy, so, buyer beware.
@invertedisdead did you ever have any luck with your experiment running hotter for a short time, then down to low heat?
What type and brand of drops are you using with your distillate @psychonaut ? I’m just curious but know nothing about the terps available to regular folks. Are these the same kind the big cartridge manufacturers are using? Is distillate without flavour until you’ve added terpenes back in? So many questions, sorry.
'Jar tech' might achieve similar results?
I've seen it mentioned here on FC, but dont really know much about it other than it can reduce viscosity, and seperate some of the components of rosin?
Can anyone tell me the name of the guy on instagram who's entire 'story' is the development of jartech?
I meant to follow him, but musta followed the # jartech by mistake instead, now I can't find him!
I'm surprised there isn't more talk of it here on FC, or even a thread?
Professorsift on IG has been testing his solventless rosin cart for like almost a month if not longer now. Seems to have it dialed in.

Are you guys trying to do it with flower rosin?
In Canada, w/ legalization days away, they are cracking down on the thriving grey market .. so I'm concerned about the availability of consistent quality distillate and concentrates for carts over the next couple years. There won't be any concentrates or edibles for at least a year (not part of initial legalization) so that likely means more like 1-3 years before we see it hit shelves ... and then there's the matter of consistent supply of consistent strains ... sigh ... I could be dead before they have all this worked outI think a goal was to get it with flower rosin since its so plentiful/easy to make, the yield on full melt hash is so low it's probably cheaper to just buy those carts from these processors.
Or one could buy a gram of 710labs to experiment with for carts but all these rosin processors have carts in the works so I'm not sure it's worth it. I know 710labs has carts coming soon.

Yes, but does not resolve my portability problem ... distillate and CO2 honey oil carts are just so convenient!Seems like a lot of people in Canada will be buying rosin presses if concentrate access disappears!

That's what I was thinking ... (that's where I started ... wondering if I should be getting a vac oven setup so I can properly winterize and purge my rosin )I hear you, I'm just getting back into carts after a long hiatus from them and I truly feel they are the future of cannabis. No loading or cleaning, a few pods in your pocket of your favorite flavors, small temp controlled pen, true vaporization, no harsh plant contaminant, max flavor with every draw.
The easiest way to get a true oil cart is probably dry ice temp ethanol extraction or winterize pressed rosin. Then purge and possibly add cannabis terpenes for carts. It's the only thing that's going to have no plant fats though and will take the least amount of terpenes to adjust viscosity.
they got back to me indicating that they need to know what the purpose was
... that's sorta' what I said too! I said something along the lines of: "I'm using it for making medical cannabis tinctures, as I'm a valid medical user, not that I see why that should matter; however, since I have no issues disclosing it ..."That's kind of nosy but I'm glad it was painless, can't wait to see your vanilla extracts
... Now I just need to purchase a vac purge setup!
I am. I'll let everyone know the results. Hopefully they will be good and will warrant making a thread! But that’s not all that you need to do, kind sir!
1) buy vac purge setup
2) start a thread here
3) go step-by-step so that even I can comprehend and follow along
Better get crack-a-lacking on this project pronto! But really tho, do this.
Wow, that seems quite expensive?$96.65 CAD for 1.14L in Ontario
$66 in Quebec!!! Next time I'm in Quebec I'll have to pick up a bottle ... it's available just over the counter there ...
Yes, that one says suitable for tinctures so obviously it is food grade. So it is the same thing. It is all taxes.Wow, that seems quite expensive?
Am I looking at the same stuff over here in the UK?
I spotted a 1 litre bottle on eBay for less than £20
