Ok, after a few weeks with this thing, it is a MASTER microdoser. It's definitely like driving a stick shift for vapes, I love that! Still hoping to find some stem options but might have to sand down a lamart...
I am close to needing a clean, any tips on reassemble?

Nice! Yup, but Reassembly? Cleaning is literally just the stem and basket screen...

Good to know! 😂 I didn't know if the heating screen could be, I had a few combustions.

Shouldn't be a problem unless you let it sit there with the stem still in and smoke smoldering? Is your heater screen visibly dirty? Just use a ISO soaked q-tip if so, can use a toothpick to carefully poke out any crumbs beforehand too.

Speaking of keeping things clean, I had a Fury screen laying around and wanted to see if it could be used as a cap for the laana basket screen... yes it can. I press-fit it on w/ my finger and it just stays there. Now I can tap the stem between my fingers in between hits to stir, and never have to worry about herb falling out of the basket when I turn the unit right side up. My herb is so dried out that even vaporizing it doesn't make it "stick together" like everyone else has such good luck with. If I look at it the wrong way, a chunk will fall out. This screen solves that problem for me.

My AVB is coming out evenly vaporized and I've gotten it as dark as my Dynavap AVB. As long as you don't pack the basket more than 2/3 full, this is a great way to do it (really good for OTG too)!

Shaken, not stirred.

great idea! Does your resistance change much? I don't want to have to add another gear...lol

Naw, not that screen by itself. But I'm also running a pretty robust filter in the stem now that tightens draw resistance. I don't mind it but that's just me. It's 2 rimless basket screens formed into a capsule and I put a piece of cotton inside.

Hiya, yeah that's the method I use with rimmed basket screens too.

12.5mm flat screens concave themselves in nicely with the press of a fingertip, great for keeping low/micro doses (0.02 - 0.05ish) neat and tidy.

Leave enough room in there and a fingernail flick jiggles the load around between draws, even extraction.

The flat screen pops out nicely with a poking tool downwards on its edge.

Very recommended for low dosers like me that don't like debris around the heater screen or can never remember to invert the vape before removing the stem.

Does everyone keep a rubber ban around the carb hole? Lately, I have been getting some roasty bowls with the M3. I also think I might be overpacking.

Rubber band? I wouldn't advise that because it's not a carb hole, it is the air intake... If it is restricted then yeah that would explain a roasty bowl, easy to combust like that! And yeah you don't want to overpack or pack too tight, also the pure convection here likes a consistent medium fine grind ideally

No, that would stop air flow through the heater. I've seen Ryan play with it on the Mi2 but I never touch mine. My Mi3 runs hot and I can very easily 1 or 2 hit a bowl even while pulsing the fire button so yours sounds normal. If I want lower temps I pulse more.

One of @Unklmark68 's custom built Milaana listed for sale on ent exchange now, it is a special Mi2 body with a rounded side and some red heart on top and bottom, also with the Zion heater! (meaning you might want to use a battery with higher amperage to heat up faster btw)

@MikeRotchHertz was also kind enough to inform me that there might be an air gap where the glass joint meets the wood, so that could also affect the power efficiency, probably needs a nice long slow draw...

I have tried it and it works fine. More restrictive to be sure but allows you to use any dynavap stem or even connect tubing to whip it.
great to hear! I love new options for the M3, stems are limited because of the 19/19. Hooking up the Shell shock could be interesting....

oh yeah with the adjustable airflow I bet that shell shock would kick ass.
