After many sessions last night, how loose this stem is worries me. Any solutions? Getting this thing dialed in was fun.
Yep, it would come out stuck to my lips after a draw. I mean, my lips aren't THAT dry It's really loose, I just noticed the guitar pick actually keeps it in place great! haAre you saying you're worried about the stem falling out accidentally in use? Try using safety pick to lock the stem in place

Aw man it has happened to me a few times, but never so much as when I'm using a lamart nub. Something about the way you have to purse your lips against itYep that's the old lipstick phenomenon we discovered way back beta testing the original Zion! It rarely happens to me these days, I guess I always hold my finger there, but yeah the pick is useful for a few things!
ohhhhh, so Lamart stems fit in the M3? Oh man...Aw man it has happened to me a few times, but never so much as when I'm using a lamart nub. Something about the way you have to purse your lips against it

407/500 checking in! Haven't vaped with it yet, but the maiden voyage will happen tonight.
I was concerned about a woody signature. Well I can put that to rest because there is zero signature of any kind when taking a test draw. Even with my Fury 2 and bent glass stem I detected some "unit flavor". But on this thing, it tastes like absolutely nothing. It's exactly what I hoped for. Draw resistance is not quite as open as I thought it would be, but I kind of like that.
Few questions:
-When I take a slow test draw there's a high frequency whistling noise coming from the carb hole. Drawing harder makes the whistle go away and it becomes a normal draw sound. Is this normal? It happens with all the stems I have--stock Mi3 stems and xl8r stems of both lengths. They all do it.
-Do 25A vs 20A batteries matter for the Mi3? I have some Sony VTC5D's which are 25A.
It's WAY easier to use and get consistent results from.
While I prefer the form factor of the Mi 2, the 3 is more consistent than the 2, also. It's the best one so far. It's nice to see when new models are actually improved models. I'd stepped away from it for a week or so while I was doing some glass and screen soaks and when I picked it back up was very pleasantly reaquainted with the killer flavor, not to mention the superb and effective extraction.
Ryan stated that the buttons were used by the build shop were under spec and he replaced them as they failed. if you get a replacement you should be set for it.Is this a repair that might have to be done more than once ? Im wondering if the replacement buttons have the same problem as the old ones ?
