After many sessions last night, how loose this stem is worries me. Any solutions? Getting this thing dialed in was fun.

Are you saying you're worried about the stem falling out accidentally in use? Try using safety pick to lock the stem in place

Yep, it would come out stuck to my lips after a draw. I mean, my lips aren't THAT dry 😂 It's really loose, I just noticed the guitar pick actually keeps it in place great! ha

Yep that's the old lipstick phenomenon we discovered way back beta testing the original Zion! It rarely happens to me these days, I guess I always hold my finger there, but yeah the pick is useful for a few things!

Aw man it has happened to me a few times, but never so much as when I'm using a lamart nub. Something about the way you have to purse your lips against it

ohhhhh, so Lamart stems fit in the M3? Oh man...

Potentially, technically they shouldn't, M3 is 19/19 nub is 19/22, I use nub with my M2 though... However with a glass of varying and such I am sure some people are able to use the nub in their m3 just be careful if you are going to try, make sure it is a proper fit!

^this is how I'm using my Milaana II now

These are two custom pieces from two different glass workers, I like keeping the vape upside down like a lighter on a pipe with the male to male adapter as the bowl as if it were fused to the cooler (pretty redheart wood pick is thanks to @Unklmark68!)

407/500 checking in! Haven't vaped with it yet, but the maiden voyage will happen tonight.

I was concerned about a woody signature. Well I can put that to rest because there is zero signature of any kind when taking a test draw. Even with my Fury 2 and bent glass stem I detected some "unit flavor". But the Mi3 tastes like absolutely nothing. It's exactly what I hoped for. Draw resistance is not quite as open as I thought it would be, but I kind of like that.

Few questions:
-When I take a slow test draw there's a high frequency whistling noise coming from the carb hole. Drawing harder makes the whistle go away and it becomes a normal draw sound. Is this normal? It happens with all the stems I have--stock Mi3 stems and xl8r stems of both lengths. They all do it.
-Do 25A vs 20A batteries matter for the Mi3? I have some Sony VTC5D's which are 25A.

25A batteries could have a little more oomph in the Mi. And whistling is normal depending how you draw, and the draw restriction, that is a change from the early generations of Milaana which were wide open airy draws, but required you to draw slow for optimal vapor production then.

Holy smokes what a vape. First session, testing it out with CBD bud and I'm getting easy clouds and having loads of fun. Im running the short xl8r stem with an added 1/2" screen just above the nipples and there's no throat irritation whatsoever, just big smooth rips. I will say theres a big difference in smoothness for me with the extra screen compared to without...even with the xl8r.
This is everything I wanted the Sticky Brick Jr to be but without the issues. It's WAY easier to use and get consistent results from.

While I prefer the form factor of the Mi 2, the 3 is more consistent than the 2, also. It's the best one so far. It's nice to see when new models are actually improved models. I'd stepped away from it for a week or so while I was doing some glass and screen soaks and when I picked it back up was very pleasantly reaquainted with the killer flavor, not to mention the superb and effective extraction.

im still going back and forth and trying to decide which I like more and cant really between the 2 and the 3

So my Mi3 from the original March batch stopped working a couple weeks ago. The button came loose one day and then it stopped working altogether the next day. What is the likelihood I can still get a button replaced still? I'm hoping to hear back from Ryan. Here's what he replied with last week before they shut down again:

"Ah, sounds like the button failed. We are in the process of securing some buttons for repair. Please contact Mark for a repair in a month or so.... details in link below

Unfortunately I don't feel confident I can replace it myself so I'm hoping they can still honor the warranty somehow.

I replaced my own button its pretty simple getting the bottom plate off was probably the hardest part. theres 2 screws on the back of the button unscrew them, replace it with a new button, reseat the wires, tighten the screws down, replace bottom plate, blast off.

@mccringleberry I think it would be a one time swap. I noticed inconsistent hits with mine before the original quit working, since I put the new one in I feel I get a more consistent performance and haven't gotten close to combusting which I coincidentally did the day the button stopped working.

@arb I tried a few different momentary switches I bought off of ebay and they all worked no problem. I had to sand out my milaana with the dremel to get the button I have in now to fit.

Thanks for the tips. Do you know what sized button is that that you had to dremel to fit? I'm guessing 16mm and the stock is around 14mm maybe?
