they say im crazy but i have a good time
....i think ive landed on my preference of dabbing in bangers... cold start with torch, go by feel.. torch favouring one side of the banger, dab on opposite side, holding flame at start for a few sec, backing off for a few and then repeat by "kissing" the favoured side with torch... cap on once dab slowly bubbles... move dab towards heated side as desired...

Soooo... I broke down and bought a Long Island Quartz banger a couple weeks ago. Lately I've wanted something that works well with my ruby insert but all the others I've tried are either not thick enough (too much wiggle room), or not deep enough (bubble cap rests too far inside the insert).
It's more than I ever thought I'd spend on a banger but well, here we are. It's 3mm thick and suuuuper deep. Considering the amount I've spent on dhgate just trying to find the "one"... I probably would've saved money if I'd just gotten it from the start. Oh well, hindsight and all. I just wish they'd allow you to order it without the display case and save some $$. I don't really get the point of it.

Eternal is shady. I ordered a peak splash guard insert and they sent me the wrong one. They also didn’t send the bubble cap I ordered. I asked them about it last week and they said they would replace it, then didn’t respond for a week, so I dm them again, no response. So I comment on their post and it gets erased, but still no response. My comments weren’t rude or anything mind you, just “hey can you send me the replacement stuff”, I have screenshots to prove it lol. They then blocked me when I told another user good luck with getting a dm from them, and I got blocked. I’m just going to call my credit card company and reverse the charge, but they are bad at customer service for sure.

i ordered the 25mm splash guard banger with 6mm thick bottom and waited for about 16 days, then emailed them to cancel my order. they responded right away the next day in the morning and offered a personal discount code if i want to order again in the future...
i ordered a Gavel V3 from Gordo's site, and had it at my door in 2 days. very happy with it as my travel banger.

I would avoid EQ eternal quartz as well. Worst customer service. I have ordered from them a bunch of times and always had issues with each and every order. They wait like two weeks before looking at your order and have attitudes.

I would like to try one of those new bangers they make but i dont want to deal with them and not sure if i even want to support them. Like if i saw it at a smoke shop, and can get it now, i may not even consider it. Its just the attitude they have.
For the price of EQs and many other US bangers, i would just get a Toro Grail.

Getting the quartz to hot for too long will lead to chazzing/devitrification, the banger will also fog up faster if you don’t q tip it well and end up torching the leftover residue
As for oil in the neck some is just condensated oil which is gonna happen no matter what, and some happens when you pull to hard on the rig
The og is jsglass who make collider caps. He actually invented directional flow caps and is a super nice dude. Check um out i think nextlevel in canada retails them iirc
I'm pretty new to using an enail. I have a 710coils opaque banger with slitted quartz insert and a couple SiC pearls, Auber RDK-200 and a $15 heat gun thermometer. I realize it will take some experimentation to get familiar with the gear and dial in Temps.
Getting a reading on the quartz dab surface is tricky but I go by the highest temp reading and it's generally 30-50 degrees less than the controller reads, given the layers and thickness of quartz.
My question is about relative Temps for different forms of concentrates. Not looking for specific numbers cause everyone's equipment is different. Just wondering whether Temps for, say, shatter vs live resin vs rosin vs sauce, badder or oil etc would be relatively higher or lower? I like low-temp dabs and want to get the most out of my stuff without ruining it running too hot or cool.

Been awhile since i posted father passed and haven't been paying attention to much cannabis forums, reddit.
Got a nice heady rig from mimzy now but shes small and want to take her around house instead of being leased to my liger for its entire life.
Bought a Gavel v3 i own a liger with a dish that is more then it but i;ve heard great things about the gavel and the research function that went into it. A lot of the nails just seems like cleanly made quarts but not doing anything to innovative. Lets see how the banger holds out vs 30mm of sapphire that sits at a accurate temp.
Another reason is if you got a instagram milkshots are annoying to do on the liger especially with a phone and no good stand, at least i can get shots from the side not sure if you can actually see under the white semiconductor quartz?

got lots of diamonds by some of the best extractors in Canada waiting.
I was eyeing this banger last night Lol store had a 30% sale on everthing for a night, but it was the nicer etched ones if they had the donkey kong one in stock i prob would have bought it just on looks tbh these guys do some crazy etching.. Butt... i cared more about how it hits so i went with HE gavel v3 25mm. Both were about same price.
Did your banger come with the plastic or glass cover and wooden stand?

Because when the banger is hot, water works great in boiling off stubborn residue and makes cleanup a cinch, just soak up the water with your qtip and all the oil floating on the water will end up in the cotton and not on your quartz.
