I ordered my Black Walnut PD on October 21st and still haven't heard anything yet. The wait is killing me lol. I've been checking my email hourly for the past week waiting for the shipping confirmation email .

So that would be 4 weeks today, business must be good.

Kind of makes me a little nervous, considering Im shooting for Christmas, which would be 5 weeks from today. I suppose there's no sense worrying about things that are out of your control.

No, that's 4 weeks and two days ;) , and I repeat, I work in batches, not one at a time, so they go out in batches. BTW orders placed October 21 should be leaving here Monday, November, 22.

A batch from the drill press yesterday, ready for the next steps.

With 20 units in each of the 4 boxes, that's roughly $14,400 in revenue from sales, assuming they are all the $180 prebuilt kits. With a wait time of 3-5 weeks, I assume you probably produce a batch like that each month. So sales revenue for the year would be up in the 170k's. Cant help but wonder what the cost of goods sold would be. Not really any of my business, nonetheless that's rather impressive for a small business with two employees.

^^^:lol::lol: Not all @ 180, then there are material expenses, plus and subcontractor fees (laser and turning), then Paypal and Website fees and USPS shipping charges, Tools (bits, sandpaper etc. that must be replaced), electric, etc... then the biggest thrill of all, Federal and State Taxes. Not so impressive now huh? Oh yeah and , many hours of labor, but that's fun (usually).

Blaaaaah
You just need to be a big corporation like Exxon Mobil then you don't have to pay any taxes, AND you'll get a tax return! Good friggin' deal, am I wrong? :uhoh:

And the gross figure he estimated is way off too. I wish . . .

Minus materials . . . Minus expenses. . . minus taxes. . . yeah, I could make more money as a butcher. . .

No, the gross figures are not that far off.

80 units a batch @ 180 = $14,400/ month

14,400 * 12 = $172,800

I understand that not all of those are at $180, it was just a gross estimate. Also, keep in mind I was only referring to sales revenue, not net profit. Please read carefully. If you want to look at this from the tax standpoint, go and get your 2009 1040. I'm referring to line 1 on your Sch C, and you are comparing this estimate to line 31, net profit. Of course I'm assuming your business is a sole proprietorship, not a corp.

Anyway, I did not estimate or subtract the cost of goods or any business expenses as the amount I was referring to is sales revenue. There is no way that someone who is unfamiliar with your business can estimate COGS or business expenses.

I certainly know the difference between Gross (5 figures not 6 :o ) and Net (less than half that amount) and I know how to read and do math, BTW.

Who the hell, said This was one months worth, or even 5 weeks? It is to illustrate, the point that I work in batches. This is a batch for the drill press. All my hands can take one time. I never said it was a month's worth, you made some assupmtion... :/

You can say your math is correct, but when you start with unknowns, and extrapolate from there, your math means nothing. ;) (And there aren't 80 units there. )

I know WTF Line 1 on schedule C read last year. First off ___________ , second you are so far off our Line one number, that it's just a laugh. Third our entire income is split by two people who work nearly every day for it.

Just too funny. :D Are you a socialist?

Yeah, it sure is... Time for planning and wrap up... Time to get out the whip. :whip: :D

Who knows what the next year will bring? Oh well, go with the flow. Health Insurance is screwed up in AZ till the first of the year, can't even get a valid quote. Stability is not on the menu. (and they wonder why business won't hire... )

Gotta get back at it. Get those post cards in for the give-away, we love to see them.

Sure seems like you are.

Also its extremely rude to talk about such private business numbers publicly on the internet. Your trying to say he makes over a million dollars in one year. Don't tell him he is wrong either.

That's good, some folks want everyone to be on an equal level.

Sorry, but if they redistribute wealth equally this minute, I believe tomorrow, you will have to do it again.

I was a carpenter and have a belief in building for tomorrow. I thought you probably did too, and wanted to clarify that. I also like math ans science, sorry I didn't make it more clear what I mean't by a 'batch'. Some batches are in the hundreds of pieces, some batches are way smaller. I have a stock of bodies, un-bored, and wood on the way to the laser man, etc. tings in the pipeline, but, it's not a linear assembly line, some production is ahead of other items and some kits are waiting on one final part.

It's a big juggling act, but Pammy helps a lot. ;) :luv:

Ok, back to vape talk :) I have been reading through this thread, but I'd like to ask a couple of questions. They probably have been answered at some point, but here goes:

What type of grind/grinder is good for this type of vape?
What is the best method to draw from the tube? I know "milkshake", but I am not quite getting it.
The little diffuser cup- do I place it right on the heater? Will it get really hot to remove it? What would be good to put in the cup? I actually would like to use it to diffuse aroma into the air.

Oh, and I think a clear tube would be awesome. I'd like to see the vapor entering the tube. I think that would help me get the maximum draw from it.

Awesome product, btw :)

I've been using a small 2pc. ti SpaceCase. Works great.

I don't do the milkshake thing. Just a very, very slow steady draw directly into my lungs works for me.

Yes, right on the heater, and yes, it will get really hot when you remove it. :o
Essential oils work great. Things like lavender, lemon, bitter orange, lime, etc etc etc. You can also use shavings from incense sticks.

BIG hint, don't fill the cup while it's on the unit.

Pammy has a unit (with aroma cup) in the bathroom, kinda nice and a great escape around the holidays :D .

ps we like the space case two piece units also. They make great holiday gifts too (we don't sell them!).

Thanks guys. Getting ready to try another hit. It's funny, in the last week I have bought 3 vaporizers. They all hit differently and all took some getting used to before I "got it".

Ok, just gave it another try. Loving it already. Where can one purchase essential oils? What do you use to remove the aromatherapy bowl when it's hot, and where do you out it while it is hot?

Lavender and orange are my favorite, I use the PD for this all the time actually. One of my justifications for having two :p

Edit: ^^^   Nice glove! I think, (IMO), a piece of tissue or piece of paper towel will give enough insulation to pick the cup up and set it on a stable heat resistant surface.

Glad you are having fun, Tsat. Pammy is a good source for oils links, and somewhere, long ago we all discussed aromatherapy, here on this forum. Search may or may not help. Peppermint sounds great for the holidays. Pine??? Spruce? Musk (for those still stuck in the eighties) ? Patchouli ???

We like floral odors. Honeysuckle, gardenia, jasmine, grapefruit and orange blossom. ??? Lots more...
