Well the fiddleback maple came in, and wow it blew my socks off.

Well worth the wait guys, if anyone is on the fence do it! Craftsmanship is hands down top notch, feels great in the hand, nice warmth to it as well. I get really nice vap clouds and dip the end in kief and works great. I've used two other vaps and I'm definitely impressed. Ive used a volcano and some box vape, and IMO I think the PD is much better. Taste is great, I feel like its much "fresher". I've been using a 18inch toro diffy bong w/ icecatcher, and the PD really gives me great draws without lung crushing hits. Refreshing.

Great job Tom and Pam, the service and the PD have been fantastic. Looking forward to the Porta Billys

The BW inline is a little bit awkward to use with the PD to be honest. I tried it a couple of times, but I much prefer my LW bub for use with my PD. The issue is really one of clearance, i.e. the PD sits right in your face when you hit it. Now this might not be so annoying with the mini-whips, but I don't have any, so I can't really say. I did try it with my 33 degree adapter and while this did give more room for your face when you hit it, I didn't like how I had to support the weight of the PD more because it was no longer pointing straight down.

The only other thing that I would note from Stu's reply is that it doesn't take long for a stem to get "plugged". After 3 fills of a stem, it's typically time for me to clean one and move on to another.

Illeg, in all these pages I never recall anyone needing to clean that often. A very fine grind will clog the screens, this is not designed for a kif only particle size. Folks suggest a sandwich for very fine stuff. A little coarse stuff against the screen, some fine stuff in the middle, some coarse stuff to top off. Or use the fine stuff blended into a coarse blend as an enhancement. But straight fine grind will clog.

The harder you draw the tighter the pack becomes... especially true of a bong user, right? If it's drawing hard (due to packing or material consistency) and you draw harder the particles just mash tighter making it harder to draw, test that . . . Using the material up before blowing out a tube, well... until the sticky stuff is gone it's gonna be sticky. Blowing a tube out while it's (freshly) hot (and used up) will generally yield a clean tube. Reports and experience say 30-40 + tubes between cleaning, your milage may vary. Use high proof cleaning supplies. ISO 70 isn't going to clean like ISO 95+ or 190 Proof Everclear.

These are things covered much earlier, but they get lost in 3 years of posts ...

Oldfart, I wish these pics were bigger so my tired old eyes could make out some detail... I dig the insulator, on a wooden peg, I had a green one in days gone by... grandpa and two of his son's were linemen.

Purple tux gets a double chuckle... ;)
Great stuff folks.

Jeff, :whip: Barney never told them... Great montages... There is an Andy Warhol exhibit, one piece is a tracing from an opaque projector, of an headline of some tabloid... the reporter questioned the 'art' in that ???
The curator suggested the art was choosing that particular subject at that particular time. Sometimes that is correct.

This is probably my problem...will try grinding a little coarser instead. Thank you!
