was wake 'n baking(wich is why I'm partly naked) and noticed my reflection in the tv and thought it looked funny
sadly it's a bit too fuzzy, pd isn't that recognisable...

Gosh no worries! Actually its just as fun seeing PD's in similar contexts and routines as it is to see those outlandish shots IMO.

Haha thanks! Yeah the placement was a bit precarious; I was nervous that my PD was going to take a dive into the drink

With a packed stem I never have to pick my PD up. Works great ,I have very limited use of my thumbs but don't need them.

Quick question for the PD community: Does my ABV seem a little on the green side? Heres a pic after about 4 solid pulls (after 4th exhale, no vapor was visible):

I then broke up that pile with my fingers, loaded it back up into my PD stem, took another hit (again no visible vapor on exhale), and here's what it looked like:

Just wondering if I'm par for the course, or doing something wrong. Thanks! Oh and these images are NOT intended as entries into the photo contest

MajorDoobage: I think there's enough variability here that its tough to answer. Some other users may be able report to their preferences. I'll mention two things.

I tend to prefer a finer grind for the Purple-Days, I think this helps heat the herbs more evenly.

Different batches/types of herb will darken to pretty drastically different shades IME. Either way, I do know that my PD (and whatever usage patterns) could yield much darker ABV than your photos but I tend to prefer to keep it on the lighter side of things (skipping that 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. hit).

Mine is usually a little darker and can sometimes get pretty brown. I use an aluminum grinder (not space case) and then scissors after that to achieve the grind I prefer. If you're getting hits and getting vaped I wouldn't be too concerned.

It seems on the light side to me. Even when my stem load is darkish brown, I often still get visible vapor. However there are other variables, obviously such as quality/type of herb, ambient temperature, voltage, insulation (if any), etc. So it's hard to really say that it's undercooked or not.

Thanks for the response guys! I know my question is a difficult one to answer due to all the variables that factor into ABV color. I'll try different grinding and insulating techniques. I don't really mind light ABV as I quite enjoy ABV edibles
