I see Barrista420 had a helluva day. I stopped in while his original post was up. I suppose much of it was deleted because private e-mail is a no-no according to the rules. Since he already has posted his half (and mine) we can assume we have his permission to reprint things he has already posted. And My e-mail is now posted with my permission. So as Paul Harvey says, NOwww, the rest of the story:
This was never about a custom request. The 'custom request' was a purple leather bottom in a Pandora Kit. No big deal, that can be handled with a simple e-mail.
What Barrista wanted was a multiple item order. We combine shipping and save the customer some money. But, this requires a 'custom' checkout. No big deal right? 1) Go to your e-store manager and make a custom item. 2) Publish the store 3) Download the store into Yahoo Sitebuilder. 4) make a new webpage within your store (on sitebuilder) including some personalization Pammy does with almost all of them... 5) Publish website 6) Check checkout function 7) e-mail customer with link .
Pammy got tired and didn't want to make a mistake late at night. What the heck first thing in the morning will have to do... (good call Pammy)
Here is are the e-mails in question verbatim, no deletions other than to keep identities private:
A) Monday, March 08, 2010 3:56 PM
Hey Mark,
That's fine. I'll make you a Checkout Link as soon as I can, (that may not be until this evening, though). Mondays are big days
I'll email you with your Checkout Link later.
The Stash boxes are made in Cherry, just like the Pandoras.
Have a great day!
Pammy

Hi, I look your e-mail address up and get no return in our e-mail backups.
Oh the Purple bottom guy.
Nope, sorry for you, but the deal is off. See your last e-mail... to Pammy. Pammy didn't get to your checkout that night (reason not important) and the next morning at 8:30AM you started shouting at her and made her cry. Not acceptable. Ruined a good portion of our day.
Nope, I am not going to make a special request of any kind for you. Or anything else. Sorry, that's not how it works. I am swamped and even if I was starving for work would not make soup for you now. No specials or any other products of any kind, just move on, please.
There are lots of products on the market and I'm sure you will find one you like.
Thanks for your interest, please don't use up any more of Pammy's time or upset her further, please. All further e-mail will be blocked or deleted.
Best Regards,
Tom
End of e-mails? No he had to fire another off, but it was deleted without reading. Why waste the time?
So if anybody wondered what got deleted... it's back up here with both parties consent.
And of course he has closed that account and opened another this afternoon with a black and white bad-boy avatar and is ragging on me personally. When you get a bad feeling about somebody it's best to go with your gut. I can see I was right, thanks for saying so, and your kind words everyone...
BTW our 'little friend' is now trying to flood us with junk e-mail. Takes about 20 seconds off my day.
Loving the pics...
