I feel that I know T&P fairly well, and feel certain that there is more to the story than was shared in the post above.
Nevertheless, Purple Days has stated clearly that there are no custom orders and that all orders 'come as is' (mostly to avoid diatribe like this from distracting them from keeping up with the demand for units from patient customers...not to mention the undue stress).
Their willingness to process a custom order (according to you), therefore, must have been an act of friendship (and not a business decision). You must have done and said some things that made them feel that you were someone who they would consider a friend and be willing to do a favor for. However, subsequently, you likely said some things that they felt were not so friendly eliciting the rejection of their friendly offer (possibly the message Tom referred to you sending Tuesday morning and you did not quote here?).
Nevertheless, I feel that your rant does not belong here. If it was a kind and friendly act on behalf of T&P, it seems inappropriate to resolve an issue between friends publicly like you are. If it were just a mere order, then their policy is clear (all orders are placed for units 'as is' with no custom requests).
If you want a Pandora, you must order it 'as is' wait like everyone else without the option for custom requests. If you are concerned that your words were misconstrued and had a negative impact upon your relationship with T&P (or wish to apologize), I suggest that you do that with T&P directly (especially Pammy it seems from Tom's reply that you quoted without his permission, I assume).
In closing, I hope that both this post, and the post prior to it are deleted (mods?), as custom requests are not currently part of the Purple Days Experience, and issues between friends do not belong here either.
Anyone, have something to share to steer us back on topic, perhaps?
