might be experiencing my first issue with the peak, does anyone else Peak go from green to red if you leave the device on or unlocked? ill charge it completely full, do two dabs and set it down without holding the button to lock or turn off the device, come back 5-8 hours later and the device flashed red when i check the indicator, i dont think ive ever seen the yellow light on my peak, just green to red...
Maybe can you charge your peak fully, do a bout 3 dabs out of it during the day and then leave it unlocked/on overnight and see if it drains? When i triple press the buttom to check battery status, ive never seen three yellow flashes. Only three green and three red, like you. But thats after using it. I saw in the manual we should be seeing three yellow flashes at some point after green and before red... not me
It holds charge. And i get about 25 red dabs a charge. Ive written it down a few times to test.Maybe can you charge your peak fully, do a bout 3 dabs out of it during the day and then leave it unlocked/on overnight and see if it drains?

Mine does not. Battery drains if the base is not shut off. Have had two units and the same thing happened with both. I believe the device is meant to be turned off when not in use.it even holds the charge when still "on" or unlocked? I might have to send mine in then u unfortunately

I asked Roger, the puffco ceo, on one his live feeds about this issue when i was having it. He said that he leaves his on after hitting it at night and picks it up in the morning with charge. He told me i do not need to turn it off after each use. Thats meant for long term storage. Seems like everybody's base acts different and puffco just tells you what they think we want to hear. I dont know. Just sharing my experience. Ive chalked mine up as working fine even tho it doesnt act the same all the time or how the manual says it should act. The manual says to reset the decice by turnung it off and then on again to fix software issues. So that's what i do if something's wonky...There is no off but there is standby , hold down the power for about 3-5 seconds and it should go into standby indicated by a white light. I do this whenever I finish using it. I do still think the battery will slowly drain though.
So how would one go by turning it on/off like you are doing ? I only know of the power hold to put it in standby & I been using it that way since day 1 with no issues so I feel comfortable sticking with it. It definitely does power drain on its own though , not by much.I asked Roger, the puffco ceo, on one his live feeds about this issue when i was having it. Holding the power for 3 seconds is actually called “locking” the device per the manual. So how would one go by turning it on/off like you are doing ? Yeah it was doing that the first day. Ever since its been okI get full melt on green as well. I get normal ceramic browning but not what I would call dark rings. Do you qtip after?
Does anyone know if these Puffco Peaks from Alibaba are legit? I inquired with the seller and he said they ship from Canada, which seems odd. They did claim that they are 100% authentic, but who really knows?
