Puffco Peak

I'm pretty new to concentrates. I'd started with a Xmax Riggo that doesn't fire for long enough, and a Core 2.1 which I've never felt confident I'm getting the most out of. So I end up just running concentrates through my Flower Kettle head.

Ever one to double down on things that didn't work for me though, the New Peak piqued my interest, especially after watching a few youtube videos. It arrived this morning - less than a week from Vapefiend in the UK to me in Australia - and I had to endure the torture of leaving it in my parcel locker for a few hours cos I had some work to do.

I've now used it a few times over the last 2 hours, and as well as being high as balls, I'm so happy with it. Using the same amount of concentrate as I was with the Core, it's throwing up such massive clouds, I feel really confident that I'm getting the most out of the dab, the joystick is super fun to use, and it's smooth AF.

I have to work at not becoming someone who overdoes concentrates and develops an over reliance on them and a tolerance to them - I think it'd be really easy to find yourself going down that path with the Peak.

Glad to hear customs did not spot it and confiscate it due to the new Aussie vape ban, I want a Solo3 but do not want to risk losing that much money.
I look forward to your ongoing thoughts with the Peak.

These guys have it listed locally - though it's currently sold out. Still, might be worth a call.

I was a little nervous about the New Peak. While it's still not what I suspect customs believe "a vape" is, given all the headlines were around nicotine vapes, it's closer than say, a ball vape or a butane powered vape sent in pieces.

Also, I think I need to start asking companies to get more creative with their customs declarations, because I'm stunned that "aroma diffuser equipment" is getting through and it's only been a month. It would've taken them a week to figure out what that meant.

I think I may have gotten very lucky that my package raced through customs on a Sunday.

If the size of my dabs is small does it make sense to get the Peak Pro with its 3DXL chamber or is even the new Peak enough?
Would like to know specifically how much changes between the two devices, specifically in terms of the chambers, and whether one is better than the other, even considering my specific use.

I just got one of the new peaks yesterday thanks to renewed concentrate interest from the recent pivot drop.

First few rips tasted awful like I was vaping a condom with all the silicone. I invited some friends to help me break it in and get it seasoned with success. It’s tasty now.

I haven’t dabbed for years because i always got too high lol even tho my flower tolerance is up there with most of us enthusiasts

Im digging the simplicity and ease of use. The two lowest temps are great for getting me back into concentrates

I like the pivot size but not the smaller battery and back to back rip struggles. I love the proxy but the price seemed a bit much for the occasional user and also the smallish battery. That lead me to the new peak and I’m happy with my decision. I’ve only used it dry and probably will keep it that way as it’s my preference when vaping

Now I’m stuck in a rabbit hole looking at heady dry tops

I’m having fun:science:

This thread is too quiet so I thought I’d add some jibber jabber

Got me one of them "New Peaks" on the way. Was thinking after reading the post. Could a good "Pre-Iso-Bath" help with the break in ?

Yea I did iso swabs and burn offs but if I were to do it again I would try a deeper clean. Maybe soak the chamber.

I’m loving it. Very happy with my choice.
Thanks for ur thoughts.... Iso the chamber while the batt is charging up. I gather the device seasoned rather quickly anyway. I am excited per se.... with me, as I am a rook in this world.... was never consistant with a banger, always too "high" or too "low"... :worms:

I think the 3dxl would be overkill. It does give you that temp customization, but overall I think you would be happy with the new peak. Have you considered the new Pivot with a glass adapter? I'm favouring it over the 3dxl.
