POTV Lobo

Does your Lobo ever make a sort of "ticking" sound? I assume it has something to do with the PID, and keeping the oven at temp. I only notice it when my environment is very quiet. Just want to make sure it's not a sign that something is wrong with the unit.

How do you get the metal screen out of the plastic part under the glass tube? I'd like to give it an iso soak and clean it.

When I've tried pushing on the screen from either side, it feels like if I put any more pressure on it, I may break the screen, but it's not popping out.

yup, had the same problem. try to push it from the inside with a long toothpick or a pen. being gentle is quite tricky but even if you bend the screen a little, it's easy enough to straighten it out again.

hopefully in the next device there will be a better way to do it.

there's a good YouTube short for it, search for "cleaning the lobo"

I found a video of Jerry doing it. He suggested a q-tip, and it look like it popped out easily. I'm about to try it. Is it going to be hard to get the screen back in? Any suggestions?

Edit: Since posting this, I used the qtip. Super easy. For putting it back in, I used the flat end of the back of a pen and it went in pretty easilly.

Glad to read you managed it easily :) for me it's a design flaw compared to the Rogue series, especially since I lost a screen after bending it too much. no biggie because I leared from the mistake and got a spare :)

the Lobo is a good device so every little imperfection is noticeable.

If you use capsules only, saw in a video where that little screen can be removed and saved, did that day one. Lobo's only cleaning weak point IMO is accumulation where the capsule top touches. The capsule can stick to the top. Found cleaning right after use while hot gets out the buildup best. If cold, use a toothpick. Dental pick can scratch.

Can anyone compare their experience with the Lobo compared to the POTV one
There is a rule against comparing vapes in a dedicated to one vape, thread. If you search, there may be a specific thread comparing them. If not, you can post in the "Ask FC" section, and people will answer there.

To remove I just shove it out with a wood handled Q-tip thing or a dab tool. To put it back it, I haven’t found anything that works better that the plain scoop style cheapy dab tools.

No WPA? I found that the Lobo's globe stem, reversed, makes a fit in an existing silicone bong. Works.

I had this Ash Catcher sitting around since i rarely use it to smoke. So i decided to pair it with a new J hook to make a new smoking apparatus.
