Am I right in thinking there's no way of getting one of these in Canada? I'm off to Jimmy rig my own peace style vape but pretty sure I want a proper one.
I'll post a photo later if I succeed......
@davesmith I am intrigued and.... well.... flattered.
This post caught me at a good time. My medible just kicked in.
At first I was like
And then I was like
I will take this opportunity to let you guys in on some of my design logic with the Peace and give you a few cautionary suggestions in "Jimmy rigging" one.
1. Make sure you have something to hold that is not the glass itself.
Obvious, I know, but the cool thing about the borosilicate glass is that unlike metals in this application, it will not oxidize or patina so there is no way of telling that it is hot with out your sense of touch. There are no sounds or sights to indicate heat besides the slow roasting of you wonderful herbs going from pungent green to golden, brown, and delicious
And also because I have burned myself, nothing serious but, once burned; twice shy.
In this application of a glass rod, heated for possibly minutes, with a butane torch , proportion is big factor to take into consideration. The proportion of your glass length, thickness, glass- holder, and herbal cooking area are some examples.
2. Use glass.
Borosilicate glass, at least. From my knowledge there are a few glass types out there that can take the beating of a torch over and over again, but borosilicate is quite popular already in the industry.
I would also advise against using any conductive metal in this application. Borosilicate glass is not very conductive at all and when used for the Peace application that translates to CONTROL - on top of the fact that you can see your herbs as they roast.
The combination of those 2 features is why I think a lot of you guys are having such good experiences with the Peace.
3. Ergonomics
Once again, hot glass rod heated for many minutes with torch repeatedly.
The shape, from mouth piece to the corners for the Peace was very intentional. Why?
Control.
Rotating the Peace comfortably and fluidly is significant in the Peace's usage. I always have to come back to the rotisserie chicken metaphor.
Also with that control is SAFETY.
We have tested round shapes and we had to go against using round. Why?
Round rolls. Either rolls off a table like a pen or just a little easier to squeeze out your hands accidentally. Remember the hot glass thing?
Another thing to consider with the Peace's design is that you can set it down on a table or flat surface with the glass still extended. Corners, edges, and weight distribution.
4. Diffusion
The wooden body of the Peace, besides being the storage, holder, and mouth piece - it diffuses the vapors and cools the vapors slightly. A cool thing to consider also is because of the way you draw from the Peace further diffusion occurs in your mouth itself.
There is more but,

Happy Friday if you are from a country where Friday is the first day of the week-end.
Peace.
Oh yeah! We are working on communicating with Canadian Re-sellers.
Feel free to recommend some trusted companies or storm their offices and demand they carry our products.
