Pax - All Models

I'm just happy they intend to keep a dry herb line instead of their horrible pod devices. Dry herb is much more earth friendly (and of interest to me), though I know they make money hand over fist with pods. Would have been a shame to let the Pax line wither, because it's awesome as an ultra portable.

Totally agree!

Who can say “convection”?…
That would be pretty cool, but I think they’re product is meant to be used more like a joint. Maybe on demand convection and on demand conduction :ko:
I was about to ask the same thing here after seeing the email. Could it really mean a Pax 4?!
It’s definitely a new Pax! That’s what people are saying on Reddit too.

So the Insta post says "The all new Pax Platform". Not "A" new platform, but "The" new platform. To me this kind of suggests any overhaul of the whole line. Perhaps a new entry level and a new high-end vape. Although I doubt we'll see a new pod system too. Unfortunately because Pax Pods are not really great for live rosin and could use an overhaul imho.

Hey all, consider a Pax 3 just for out on the go here and there and nothing really more than that. I'm a fan of the stealthy and sleek/small look, but I've heard that it smells quite a bit. Last thing I want when I'm out and about trying to be stealthy is to smell like a dispensary. Can any of you speak to this?

If it’s loaded it smells. If you vaped and leave the material in there after the fact, it will smell. If you dump it out, it will smell a bit. There are odor proof pouches for it if you’re really concerned about the smell. Also, if you clean it often the smell isn’t too bad.

seriously doubt there will be a pax 4. If I were a betting man, I'd say a new line of colors, maybe designs. But don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it. If they just changed the charging method I'd be happy.

It definitely smells.

The Pax has been my most used vape for a few years now both at home and outside and the vapor it produces definitely smells so it's not discreet whilst vaping.

When the unit isn't in use and I have it loose in my bag I can notice by smell that it's there so others around me will smell it for sure, due to this I usually carry it in a small ryot case which makes it discreet and hides the smell, I used to take it to work and no one had any idea I was carrying a loaded vape in a ryot case, without the case it's way too noticeable.

Yep, as said above, it will smell. An easy and inexpensive solution is either the Delta 3D Studios caps or case linked below. I use the caps and they work great.

I use a line of bags from DIME BAGS...really nice stuff. They have from tiny to duffle size....thanks for the info. I am getting bombarded with emails on the Pax...great prices everywhere now for the 3...

I'm thinking the fall Pax lineup would need to drop either the Pax 2 or 3 if the 4 was really coming out. Maybe we'd see the Pax 3 stay at the current recently reduced price and a further closeout sale of the 2 maybe. But I have my doubts a 4 is coming, at least in the fall.

I totally feel you on that.
However, I can’t remember them ever lowering their prices permanently, like they are really trying to clear out stock. If they were a smaller company I might even be worried they were desperate for $$, and possibly in trouble, but they aren’t (as far as I know!)

So I actually think they are going to come out with some new models. They keep saying new ”lineup”, so that probably means more than one model.
But I don’t think the changes will be revolutionary - doubtful they will try to reinvent the wheel since they have done very well with what they have.
I can’t imagine them changing the heater (conduction) or the basic form (small, sleek), since they seem to work for them.

Most likely some hardware updates?
Faster heat up time?
Longer battery life?

Maybe a display on the unit? That would be kind of cool.
Maybe actual reducers for their oven size?
Maybe attachments for water, etc?
Maybe a better screen solution?
Perhaps a ceramic oven?

I dunno, all speculation, I am curious.

Yeh sorry to say the pax is a smelly beast. But if you dump the abv after it will be fine. I got a smell proof case and love it, the stir tool attaches to it too. Those plugs on the end to work but are ghetto af. https://www.amazon.com/pax-3-smell-proof-case/s?k=pax+3+smell+proof+case

I just got back from a weekend trip and loaded up both my PAX3 and my new POV One for two nights of smoking before bed. The PAX3 is now sitting in the drawer and the POV one is my go-to VAPE. Try as I might I just couldn't seem to get anything out of the PAX., much to my frustration. Thought it might just be the herb but then the ONE vaped it perfectly.

I think it had something to do with the coarseness of the grind. The PAX always works well with a fine grind but for some reason a new batch of weed didn't grind very well. The ONE, on the other hand, seems to work with whatever you put in it. Also has a better taste - a little less metal tasting than the PAX.

The magnetic charging contacts get dirty/corroded . PAX is Pammy's daily driver , obviously she like it's function , but she had trouble with the charger connection . I'm not a fan of magnetic charging connections , I have a flashlight and a cart vape with similar problems .
HINT: a pencil eraser works great to scrub any oxidation off the charging contacts .

Recently purchased a Pax 3 for the collection. I'm pretty happy with it. Nice design and I'm definitely getting baked from it. Wish i could squeeze abit more heat from it though. Just coming from a dynavap and a Xmax Starry as you can pump that to 240c.

I look forward to playing around with it some more. I have the vented lid and pusher coming also.

Hey FC Paxheads - any word or rumor updates of the supposed “new lineup”? I’m intrigued by the possibility of innovation. Pax 1 to Pax 2 was a pretty great leap forward, IMO. Pax 2 to 3 was also very welcome with faster heat up time and app functionality (though I don’t use it personally). Though my Pax 2 & 3 are probably my least favorite for vapor quality past hits 1-2, it truly checks all my boxes for form factor and enjoyment of use when on-the-go. One can dream of a hybrid convection/conduction Pax, yes? With the success of the TM, I wonder if Pax would ever pursue the on-demand route in their R&D. Or is the conduction tech going to be the norm for their target customers?

I'd like to see usb c charging and a not so massive bowl. I really hope they don't add an ugly screen with digital layout but that might be a thing considering the last one was largely app driven for precise controls.

I'm pretty satisfied with my pax2 still for mobile use. Huge battery, smooth cool vapor, easy to clean, good capacity (with the half pack). I'd really like to see on demand convection, or just convection, with usbc charging. And a similar size, of course.

I expect them to drop the new line around November, and I also expect to be super disappointed in what they offer. There are other vapes I'm holding off on purchasing until I see what they have in store, though.

They posted today that the new pax drops tomorrow. But they haven’t released any info. Fingers crossed for a new herb vape and not another pod device.
