Thing is I feel the mighty extracts perfectly. I don't want black abv, dark brown and uniformed is what I am after. Mighty does this no matter how you load it.
I feel ALMOST the same exact way, the mighty is better than the pax because you can take unrestricted big rips, but the pax has shorter but bigger 'burst" of vapor...that being said, try cranking the mighty up to 385 and giving big 10 to 15 second hits...that shit is amazing!I personally think the Pax2 is pretty heavy hitting now that I have a mighty and can compare them each. The Mighty is awesome but the pax2 gets me medicated just as well. I really thought the mighty was going to knock my socks off but it didn't, it's just another great vaporizer.
Yeah you explained it perfectly well. The pax does give big burst of it then kind of weans off and gets less dense, the Mighty however I've noticed doesn't dark brown like @adam_baumm mentions. Maybe something is up with my new unit? When I get home I'll use the Pax at level three and set the mighty to that temperature to compare the avb.I feel ALMOST the same exact way, the mighty is better than the pax because you can take unrestricted big rips, but the pax has shorter but bigger 'burst" of vapor...that being said, try cranking the mighty up to 385 and giving big 10 to 15 second hits...that shit is amazing!
EASIEST METHOD...Is to vape a bowl in the mighty on full temp, after all vapor is gone, put the avb in the pax and see if it still gets clouds...old trick I learned in 'Nam (or from other fc members)@adam_baumm I get home in like 4 hours and I'll try them both out again like you mentioned in the mighty thread and see what results I get. However I feel the pax avb is darker than the mightys' even if I put the temperature at the highest level on the mighty and at level 3 with the Pax.
Have you tried this? LolEASIEST METHOD...Is to vape a bowl in the mighty on full temp, after all vapor is gone, put the avb in the pax and see if it still gets clouds...old trick I learned in 'Nam (or from other fc members)
No...not personally...but I think that's because I don't mind lighter abv. I don't see the reward vs the effort to try and squeeze every little bit out AND I don't like the taste of abv, it all goes in the "future butter' jarHave you tried this? Lol
Home made may be the way to go. I don't know how low profile you want to go, but I like the Domino case from Vatra (www.vatra.com). It holds the pax 2, a small space case, and tools perfectly. So far I haven't found a case for my Pax 2 that I have liked but I think I just made one. I got out the needle and thread with a little velcro. Very well made and it was free.

Ratchett - you may want to go into production on this...I'm waiting on this to come in. I've seen others that have gotten his cases and are very happy.
He puts a few up every so often, but they sell super fast. You can contact him and he'll shoot you an email with the new auctions, then you can snag one before the auction goes live.

How well do those cases work when the pax is in the sleeve? If I keep one of @Ratchett's plastic caps on the oven end of the device it, being airtight, prevents any airflow; with this case, if it is smell proof and therefore airtight, I imagine you'll have to take it off completely each time you want to use the pax, no? Just curious in case it is an issue and prospective buyers aren't aware of it.
Do you have the plastic caps? I want to order some, but wanted to make sure they are truly smell proof before I spend a fortune on them...but I think they will pair nicely with my cloth caseHow well do those cases work when the pax is in the sleeve? That was a little online sarcasm, but I would want to order more than one pair...I am a stoner after all! Seems like it will be the perfect solution to charging at work tooA fortune? Dude, they're $5, I paid a total of $8.32 with shipping.
I was wondering the same thing and have asked it, with no clear answer other than cleaning it with cotton and then vaping the cotton once it dries out...but that method is not for me (at this point)So with the PAX 2, is there a way to remove that reclaim other than wasting it with a pipe cleaner? As someone who uses the old PAX daily, this has always bugged me- seeing a pipe cleaner covered in golden goodness being wasted.
Hehe, sorry Wake, I don't pick up on sarcasm well online
For reclaiming, I'm curious if swishing/leaving a used pipecleaner in etoh/iso will further dissolve the material off the pipecleaner and into solution....but then you may risk getting fibers and other crap from the pipecleaner into the mix, so maybe strain the solution before evaporating?
I can confirm that the ABV in my Crafty will continue to create big clouds/vapour on the PAX 2, however the taste is not really enjoyable. I feel like the PAX 2 can go on forever until the ABV is black; even when it is black, it still produces clouds.EASIEST METHOD...Is to vape a bowl in the mighty on full temp, after all vapor is gone, put the avb in the pax and see if it still gets clouds...old trick I learned in 'Nam (or from other fc members)
Yeah especially at 420 degrees, the Pax leaves the avb almost black lolI can confirm that the ABV in my Crafty will continue to create big clouds/vapour on the PAX 2, however the taste is not really enjoyable.
