I want thick vapor, as someone used to smoking, but I don't want to fully fill the oven. It holds more than I need for myself.

I'm also finding that the only way to really get thick vapor is by packing it but since I use high temperatures it's not burning as evenly as I want it to.

Don't try to hide it, better take some ear phones with you and wind the cable round the pax like you would do with a regular MP3-Player... Shouldn't stick out much when you take it out of your pockets between a mobile phone, keys and so on...

I have some extra pax 1 screens, I can try those out as I used to use them in my original pax as well. I reallllllly don't want to rely on these for my typical use but I'm also curious to see any improvements as a result

I am a really big fan of the new oven lid...much easier to clean and handle. The battery life is without a doubt better with the pax2. I used to charge my pax everyday, and now I dont find that necessary

The 'online' part isn't the problem. I would rather not go through the shipping hassle for such a small part as I'm never home and even small packages don't fit in my mailbox.

Personal taste, and all, but the P2 cannot touch the FF for flavor. They are not even in the same country, thanks to the difference between conduction and convection, which is huge.

You are confusing the difference between conduction and convection with the difference between most conduction vapourizers and most convection vapourizers. I strongly doubt that in a blind test, you could tell the difference between the FlashVAPE in conduction mode and in convection mode.

Also, like a lot of conduction vapes, waiting 30 seconds between hits (or longer, but you have to touch the mouthpiece to keep it from going into standby) helps, as it allows the oven to cook a little bit and generate vapor before you suck it out of there.

If you want to make the P2 taste like the P1, this would be the way to do it. You're right that it will produce more vapour, but it will certainly degrade the flavour.

I picked one up from my LHS last night. I was a big fan of the Pax initially, but the cleaning and finnickiness of the mouthpiece made me search for alternatives. Of the portable dry herb vapes I've tried (elevape, AA, MFLB, ascent) the pax is my personal favorite when it comes to discretion. The Pax 2 has improved in every way in comparison to the first version.

My only concerns at the moment are smell and battery life. The previous pax also had a lingering smell to it when the unit was in use, and the same can be said for the new one. I can't touch on battery life just yet because I haven't gone through a full charge, but the initial reports I've read about so far have me excited.

The magnetic dock is a lot smaller (and heavier!) than I anticipated, but I think it's pretty fantastic for what it is. I really like that you can either plug the dock in with a micro-usb cord and a USB wall-socket adapter, or you can use the original pax's power adapter (both ports are on the side of the dock).

I find that I like the flat, flush mouthpiece more than the raised one. I felt more heat on the bottom of my lips when using the raised mouthpiece, but not so much that I felt like I was getting burned. I like how the mouthpieces don't have any moving parts this time around and they utilize a built-in trench-style vapor path like other popular vapes (firefly, etc).

My LHS said that they're expecting accessories sometime next week (extra screens, etc).

I'll take your word for it, as I've never used one. I wouldn't even say "most" conduction vapes, because my experience cannot possibly encompass that many devices. I will say that ALL of the conduction vapes I've used pale in flavor, IME, to ALL convection vapes I've used. This is maybe a total of a dozen each...a rounding error in the universe of vapes, but very consistent in my experience. I don't think I'd fail a blind test with any of these devices...but I have no problem imagining that my experience isn't global.

I agree. There appears to be a bit of a zero-sum game between flavor and vapor thickness with the P2. Again, personal taste and circumstance will dictate which part of the sliding scale I choose to traverse in any given session.

trying to decide between the pax 2 and firefly.

I have a FF and my mom has a pax1 (that I borrow indiscriminately). They're both great. The choice really depends on what you want it for.
To me, FF is a home use on-demand vape for one or two people. I spark it up instead of a pipe. The pax is much better for outside the house and groups. Figure out your use case and that will tell you which would be better for you.

Just got my Pax sandwich this morning. I've only tried 3 sessions using both the top and bottom pieces. You can barley fit any material in there and get the lid closed securely. Works as advertised. I did one session at the 2nd temp setting and two sessions at the 3rd setting. The 2nd setting produced very thin vapor for about 5 or 6 hits. I liked the 3rd setting more with much thicker vapor for the first 2 rips and about the same number of total hits. The top part gets very hot and I would recommend having a pair of tweezers or some type of tool to pull it out. The bud gets pressed into a nice puck that came out and the bottom screen seems to stay in place. I plan on doing some more testing using only the top piece to try to see if I can get a few more hits from being able to pack in slightly more.

Thanks for sharing. I purchased only the top part because I tend to use the pax for group vaping and I wanted to fit enough material in the oven. Mine should arrive tomorrow.

I'll add that for more than two people I'm likely not using the spacer.

Keep the reports coming. I'm very interested in this accessory and want to know if its worth it. Is the bottom piece superior to the pax 2 screen (if you've tried it without the top piece)? Does it improve airflow? And I'm curious about your experience using the top piece only too. Thanks!

From what I could tell, yes, the oven stays on and the lights keep flashing FWIW, I enabled party mode by rotating the pax three times around its length axis.

• spacer sandwich kit..... If you have any from pax 1 that are not being used, you will see that they just need to trim a little off the ends. It is soft metal so a pair of snips will cut it and it will fit....I have all ways found that a rolled screen works just as good

• Game Changer!.... Take your bottom screen from the sandwich kit cut it down so it fits into the oven but cut it short enough that it leaves the hole in the oven uncovered. Now put the original pax 2 screen back in. You should now have very little draw resistance with the flat mp
