2 Paces
Well-Known Member
Got mine on Saturday, wanted to spend some time with it before posting.
Really enjoying it. Love the feel of it, love the function of it. I was looking forward to the improvements, but I am digging this much more than I expected.
Most of my observations about the Pax 2 have already been posted by others, but one thing that I really like is the smoothness at the highest temp. On the original Pax I would end the oven with some hits at the highest setting to get the most out of my stash. But it was always a bit harsh to me, and I filtered through water whenever possible. With the Pax 2 the highest temp doesn't feel harsh to me at all and the taste is far better than the Pax was at high temp. Not sure how they did it, but the Pax 2 feels smoother & tastes better to me at 420 than the Pax did at 410
Count me among those that doesn't use the flared mouthpiece because it gets too hot. But I like the flat one, so no worries here.
I'm finding that a fine grind works very well for cloudy vapor, just like I preferred for the original Pax.
In short, as a daily Pax user for almost 3 years, I was very much looking forward to the Pax 2. It is exceeding my expectations.
