On the subject of drop downs... They have many intended uses. I own a couple and they have changed my life. I would consider their best feature is how much space they give you. I don't think anyone wants to have their face inches from a hot nail yet they keep making rigs smaller and smaller.

They are awesome for E-nails but can be used with anything from dome and nail to bangers to honey buckets. It is nice not to have the flame of your torch so close to your rig when you are heating things up. Drop downs can also help with heat transfer if that is an issue for you.

The last cool feature is how much claim they collect. Instead of oil just running down into your rig and gumming up the works a large majority of it collects in the drop down leaving your rig fairly free of oil boogers. I like to let it just collect in the drop down and then when I have a lot it is easy to reclaim. I can even just stick a dabber down in it and scoop out a glob if I want.

Here is my gb-242 which I use daily and rarely clean. As you can see the drop down has probably 90% of the claim and there is just a small amount in the uptake tubes of the 242

Here is a link for that specific drop down. It is very nicely made and perfectly straight. For all I know it could be from china though. For sure worth the price either way

I have dedicated claim collectors on two of my rigs, so I appreciate that functionality. I guess I don't own any rigs small enough to need to distance myself from my nail, so I haven't had that issue. I'm considering getting a drop down now...

Either way, though, I'd still have a couple of concerns about the specific design you posted, mostly because the lowest point is right under the quartz bowl. I would think claim would collect and/or drip right into it, and all your dabs would end up being super claim-y. Wouldn't you want some sort of space below the bucket for the claim to drip into, so it doesn't just keep dripping back on to your fresh dabs?

You were definitely included in the 4-5 people that want one! You good sir are the one that got me into trying to use my Distilled Recycler as a hookah

I just don't think 4-5 people is enough for Steven to make one. Maybe we can contact another seller that has a bunch of hookahs for sale and If they are the actual factory that produces them, maybe they could make us a small batch of a design of our choosing

I once thought the D022 was fugly, but seeing @ataxian 's setup, I figured what the heck and got one and today it's my daily driver. The two things I like most: 1) vape sits on top very stable, I keep on hand on it because it's top heavy, but it's not "tippy" whatsoever and 2) I've mentioned this before but it all but eliminated the vapor recoil I get with my Infinity on other glass pieces that don't have a second chamber to isolate pressure.

I use a few water tools.

Now we know China can do them and we have a backup if we can't get another seller to make them. Maybe if enough people were down we could arrange a coupon for a better price. Man, look at the price difference between 9 and 10 units too!

If you get it now would maybe help with R&D on a possible future hookah-esque piece.

As for me perhaps I'm too picky, but the uneven spacing of the percs would drive me so insane I couldn't stand to look at it (although I'm sure that varies from piece to piece), plus I've heard a few questionable things about the quality and safety of Chinese frit...

I love the idea of three percs like that though. Would work much better than an inline. How much interest do we really need in something like this to move forward? I assume it's a lot more than 4-5 people...

Yeah you make a lot of good points.

Maybe only the first disk or two would fire, but in order to get all three to fire, I bet you would have to be ripping it pretty hard.

Yeah Chinese frits are a bit questionable to some members.

I would much rather see a normal showerhead with like 10 slits and maybe we should have the bowl joint in the center (instead of on the side like the Dragon hookah) and have that tube split into 2 tubes and have 2 shower heads more in the center of the tank. I think both of those would definitely fire with a normal pull.

There has to be something on DHgate (or somewhere) that we aren't finding. I remember about 3-4 months ago there was an exact knock off of the Lavoo MP5-X on DHgate, but the minimum order quantity was 20. I contacted the seller asking for a sample order of 1 unit, but he wanted like $200 so I declined. Now that piece isn't even listed anymore.

Hi Vicki, yes they are similar. Both have detachable MPs. Take a look at the 4th post in this thread and you will see the multiple MP ideas. If you are really thinking about a second Infamous you might like one of these instead. Still in the idea stage apparently, but I would be shocked if this wasn't made.

Thank you, you're right. They are very similar, except the UFO having the wider base. I like the detachable MP's myself. I'm curious how they compare in price and quality to the ones I have.

I do already have 2 of the Infamous bubblers now. Please don't give me GAS!

I received pictures of FC-242 prototype 3 last night and it is much better than the first two. I will hopefully have a function video soon. I have already told him it looks good but needs bigger 50% larger vortex chamber.

I personally think youre either going to need to go to one uptube or a larger return and I think youre going to have issues with the water doing weird things in the chamber but thats just me.

Its hard to tell without better pictures of how everything is oriented.

Does anyone else want to see more build a bong style pieces? Personally I don't see them as complicated to produce which should keep costs quite low, and to my knowledge these designs haven't been done by many manufacturers yet.
Also you guys see the new bubbler/enail built in style rigs? Pretty tempting for a travel rig, comes with the case and all. Seem pretty hilarious as a novelty for enail users like myself, but might actually provide a similar hit for non enail owners or people looking for a better travel dab than an e-pen, possibly nice for a travel/nice walk where you can then dab. IDK about these though so lemme know what yall think haha, they look a little crazy

A relatively standard one going for about $150, and a quad coil neck one going for $300+

Yes and thats exactly my point, they retail for about that much and there really aren't any regular vendors doing it. The only hindrance is that they need to use larger joints, but thats not very much $$ difference and I see a lot of interest whenever I post things regarding them. So if anyone who has connects could put in a word for build a bong rigs and bubblers, it'd be appreciated. A mouthpiece for one is quite literally a direct tube with a joint. I just don't see why more people haven't started producing them, they'd get tons of buys.

The only other thing I think it'd need (aside from the larger vortex chamber you mentioned), is a slight restriction at the bottom of the funnel/top of the return tube.
