Yep, that's the one I was gonna be tinkering around withRemember messing around with this idea....
To all enthusiast Photo-sketchers out there: I have done a couple of stuff with @blankrider which is quite good fun. If YOU also enjoy messing around with Photoshop or other soft and like the challenge of putting glass together, why don't you come and join the fun. Also do not hesitate to to copy what is already started and improve on it. (Just wanted to be clear and transparent about the fact that I'm doing it to help the thread and have No monopoly on any of it)
It would be interesting to work out a size for this new Stereo matrix.
In reality I'm working with @oli on an actual FC-186 if anyone is interested. It will not be straight neck. This is prototype number 1

1 - Those uptakes look odd to me, They each attach to the funnel about 180 degrees away from where I'd think they should go... The GB-242 looks like its got them pretty perfect.ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CONTRIBUTE BUT NEEDS PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE PLEASE GO HERE.
Hey all, life has been a bit nuts lately. Glad to see that some stuff is coming together here. Since it looks to function very well and is a design I want to try I will be gladly snagging an FC-710, I put my order in already just need to fight with my bank a little and get the payment sent off.
I would like to take a second and once again ask why the new 242 became a can perc chamber? Was it for ease of photo-shopping or ease of manufacturing the female GonG instead of the male on the original? Perhaps it was discussed and I just missed it due to the politics of the other thread.
At any rate I feel like the can shape is actually quite a bit of a step in the wrong direction here as it increased the amount of free glass space in the perc chamber. Thus there will be a bit more bubble popping and a slightly less flavor. Assuming the prototype #2 is water filled to a functional level, just look how much more free glass that has in the per chamber compared to the original.
Sorry the red lines are different thickness, the base images were different resolutions.
The current mouthpiece comes directly out of the center of the vortex chamber. I don't really like that, and here is my proposed change to allow you to see the vortex in action while hitting it yourself. This will also mean the vapor spends a little longer in the chamber and thus slightly smoother hits also, win/win.
Here is how it is on the original 242:
Here is the mouthpiece exiting the vortex chamber on my large rig which I would like to see get ported over to the new 242:
Again but cleaner and with a little highlighting on the indents which help guide the vortex and eliminate splash-back:
Drawing of the proposed uptake tube paths needed to accommodate this mouthpiece change:
I kinda drew that left one going out farther than needed, use your imagination to tighten it up a tad.
Also while we are at it steven managed to get a moving peice of glass inside of another one in the FC-710 think he's up to this challenge?
Tho besides the cool factor I really can't say that seems highly functional. I'd buy one tho if they were in china glass price range.
Edit: after watching the video another time I decided 10/10 cool. I would buy that even if i knew it hit mediocre but we got that made at a reasonable price. (shudders to think how many will die in shipping from china)
Also check out PB's newest prototype with the propeller perc series, Here.

I know its crazy, but this is where my mind went:It would be interesting to work out a size for this new Stereo matrix.
Size of can from ground
Original Stereo Matrix = 23 cm
Copy GB-186 = 21 cm
Original Stereo Matrix 65T = 29 cm
In the meanwhile I have added a different mouthpiece plus black accents

Your design just doesn't have a symmetrical look to me, which is a bit of a turn off...
2 - I like and agree with the mouthpiece/funnel change, My delta-9 recycler has that same sorta setup.
3(a) - The propeller perc was briefly brought up in the other thread, I believe @blankrider said it was above their skill range ATM...
I'd LOVE to have one... I think the real ones are in the $600 range ATM? I'd pretty happily drop $300ish on an american made one (I struggle to drop any more than $400 on any piece of glass)
Hell yessss though, I want one of those in my arsenal...
3(b) - Sweet baby jesus those dabs in that video were INSANE.
I like the style if only because 99% of hookah's look the same and are easy to tip over. Group dabs would be fun too.Ok, you guys have me thinking about glass hookahs now. And the more I think, the more I love the idea. I wouldn't want a huge, full-size one, but ideally some perfect middle size where it could function as a small but legit hookah if I wanted it too, but otherwise could have a vape plugged in and serve as a large but equally-legit tabletop bubbler.
I also really, like the design aesthetic of the tank-style glass hookahs, like this one that @BoogerMan suggested:
They're unique and cool looking, have room for lots of water, look very stable especially with multiple hoses attached, and wouldn't be hard to manufacture.
I also searched around a bit and found few other, similar styled tank hookahs to use as food for thought.
So what do you guys think about this style? We would have a lot of room to work with creatively, as we could really play around with shape, design, perc style and hose/bowl/mouthpiece placement. An inline perc could be awesome, or... sky's the limit.. I know that I for one would love to have something like this as part of my collection. Anyone else??

I suppose I'd be more interested in something smaller with just one output...
You can have two outputs and just use a stopper on the other one when you're solo.I agree with @snackmaster. I like the idea of a desktop hookah being used as a solo bubbler, meaning one person at a time. Personally, it doesn't matter to me if it stands up can-style or is laid over tank-style, as long as it's not too big and designed for the single user.
steven still seems very shady to me
i sent a message asking about cheaper shipping(it doubles the price for me)... no reply for 3 days (while he did respond to others, as reported here)
i sent a second message yesterday... no reply
From what I understand, Steven works for the company that manufacturers the glass. Then they ship the inventory to a shipping company in the city.steven still seems very shady to me

I ordered last week on Friday and had no expectation of shipping that late in the week. I still have no tracking for the 710 though. Maybe they aren't ready yet? I sent him a separate message about doing a function test, and he has replied saying don't worry it.
So .... Do you guys think this would be as awesome as I do?
This hookah type piece isn't my bag but as soon as I saw that big barrel with a lil showerhead in it I was confused. Sorta seems to defeat the point of having that massive area for water if you're just gonna use a simple small perc in there. A big long inline like you just posted seemed like the most logical perc Setup to me.
This one doesn't hold ice but gives you an idea of what it could look like. Having standard joints all over gives you a lot of options for how to use it.
