I've written a message to George with regard to how all this crap can be solved.
I don't like the fact that my simple and moral comment went this far.
UFO is the 3rd generation clone of immorally gained tech and I am doing my part to try to rectify this for the community and Chris now that we are here.
This is about how China treated Chris, and I told George as much; not patents. Patent law is a sacred institution and is like discussing politics or religion. Our moral code however is something that is uniquely your own. Don't let anyone mess with that for the sake of a little VAS.

I am still very much of the position @scy123 describes here, but having said that...
An amicable resolution where everyone can keep making their variations of this simple collection of tech, that no one here actually developed themselves but simply collected together into a variety of products that all do very similar things, would go a long way to redeeming your position Mr. Dee!
I feel this is the first genuine, decent honest post you have made since this started and I applaud your attempts to resolve the mess you made.
I only hope the intention behind it and the proposed outcome are as honourable.

As for how anyone was treated by China...
I don't know of any company that greedily took advantage of the, let's be kind and say 'exchange rate' by outsourcing manufacturing to companies in China, that didn't factor in the 'clone cost' of doing business in China ... I think this is just how it is... and if you take a product to China and don't expect this... well, I am just looking incredulously, speechless in the sheer extreme ignorance this must have taken!

No I didn't and I'm not rehashing it - I called a patent into conversation to point out alternative means to trigger an IH and George has this reed switch patent in the works. @kel made it about patent law and would never let me finish the thought or even develop a hypothesis. I poopoo'd on his thread and he didn't like it and went on the attack. I keep repeating it was not about the patent and maybe now you understand why I keep insisting on that. I put @kel on ignore when he showed his hostility towards patent law before the thread was even moved. My replies were to the group, not @kel, and therefore he didn't deserve the replies he kept demanding from me.

For anyone who wants to know the actual TRUTH of what happened, please return to the beginning of this thread where you can see I did nothing of the sort, not even close!
It was absolutely Mr. Dee who brought up patents, it's all there in black and white for anyone who actually cares to read. You can't talk about patents without talking about law, the subtle (and often not so subtle) changes in Mr. Dee's words are how he manipulates and twists things to suit his ever evolving narrative.
