next generation e-nails?

I don't suppose you grabbed their 'stealthy' nintendo version?

:borg::cool:
No, I went for the bland little metal box. Actually much more stealthy than this because it is so small.
Now I need a new piece of glass because I am afraid my bong will tip over with the weight of the enail. There always seems to be something else to buy!

I would just pick up a slim line base on their sale going right now and not have to worry in the future, i definitely wouldn't attach my saph Halo to anything but a dnail nail, coils are gonna be about the same size so as long as its an actually flat, flat coil you should be good to go, even if you risked the mininail

Lol. I ordered that base on Friday because of the 25% backtoschool sale. But D-Nail gets you on shipping at over $8.

Now I have to decide if I want to buy the Sapphire Halo or Liger 3.0 with SiC and carb cap next.

Shooby,
Sorry if it's bad etiquette to bring up an old post, but this seemed the most appropriate + recent one I came across.
Some background: I dab daily, maybe .33-.55g of high quality concentrate/distillate on an average day. Currently I'm using a wax RDA setup on the Tobeco Glasses atomizer with SS mesh, however I'd like to get better flavor and transition to an easier home dabbing solution.

I just purchased this setup as my first E-Nail and I'd like to know if it's right for me.
The parts are as follows:

Auberkin RDK-200 controller with Flat Coil - $110 (+ $10 shipping)
https://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=459

D-Nail SiC Halo with Slim Series fittings and Sapphire Insert (extra, heard it gives great flavor off small dabs) - ($160 - $80 for SiC nail, $40 for fittings, $40 for Sapphire Insert + $7 shipping)
http://www.d-nail.com/nails/halo/d-nail-sic-halo

Total came out to ~$287

First, is this everything that I need? It seems like it; the controller, heater coil, nail, and base, but is there anything I'm missing? Would hate for it all to arrive and be missing something.

Second, am I going to be losing anything by not ordering D-Nail's ridiculous $60 titanium carb cap? I've got my own titanium one that seems to be the same size, 20mm, and I just want to make sure it's not going to affect the airflow or anything because $60 for a titanium carb cap is crazy.

Edited with prices

You want the carb cap, I have the exact same set up, you will get maybe 40% of the possible function without the cap, it fits perfectly and provides some directional airflow, I've heard it makes an even bigger difference with the insert. Personally I broke my insert on the 3rd or 4th use but was never very impressed with it, it's hard to use and you can only load the tiniest bits on it and it's fragile as hell. I know $60 for a ti cap is totally overpriced but GET IT! Makes a world of difference. Hope this was helpful, you will be very pleased with that set up! Best bang for buck imho

in my experience, the carb cap is critical with my sic halo. it is completely inefficient without the cap... the only thing you are missing from that is glass, which you likely already have;)

Yep, got this one that I bought a few years back

Shouldn't be an issue or will I need to get a dropdown/extension?
I'll have to try my current titanium carb cap and see how it goes I guess :/.

Yea it was definitely helpful, thanks. I got the sapphire insert to use mostly for small flavorful dabs, as it seemed like it was best for that. Gonna hope I can get a good effect from my 20mm titanium carb cap, if not, then I'll bite the bullet.

You need dnails V2 cap, trust us, nothing else is going to come close.

With that cap, you'll have a top end setup for sure, without it, I think you're gonna be disappointed

Gonna hope I can get a good effect from my 20mm titanium carb cap,

Unfortunately it won't come close to fitting, nor have any positive effect, because the D-nail dish is ~27mm.

I've been dabbing off the D-nail halo for.. maybe a year and a half.. and like everyone else posting here, I know how much of a requirement D-nail's carb cap is. IMO, it's also very worth picking up their handle / forked dabber at the same time. :2c:

GET THE CAP!!!

Just kidding, but really, get the cap.

Your gonna be really impressed if you never used the sic dish. I use mine at low temps (485-560) and mostly dab rosin. A bb sized dab will give me lots of nice tasting hits. Actually half that will too.

Leaving the cap on the dish, during the session keeps the vapor where it needs to be and let's you extend your session much longer , and better than any other nail I've tried.

A small chunk of silicone tubing on the carb cap stem will keep it cool enough to handle without worries, cause it does get hot after a long session. Be careful. 1/4 inch ID hi temp silicone I believe.

And clean up is a breeze. I use a dry q tip after each session to get my dish clean, and once in a while I'll use a wet q tip after the dish cools a little. Every few months I heat the dish up close to 900F for a cleaning by heat. And that's about it. Hit us up and let us know your impression of it after you try it a little.

Thank you everyone for the advice, I e-mailed D-Nail and hopefully they'll be able to add it to the order. Seems super unnecessary but I'll take the advice since it seems so unanimous lol
I'll add a little aside...when using it, pre-heat you cap before dabbing....doesn't take much, just watch the temp on your controller bottom out after a 5-10 degree drop and when it starts to come back up, remove and add dab.

And I also agree....absolutely need their carb cap and the forked dabber that goes with it, IMO.

Best of luck....oh, I have SiC halo on my rig and love it. Sapphire just seems too expensive and brittle for me and I'm happy with the performance I get out of the SiC

The sapphire inserts are only $40? I thought sapphire was like $300?? Or is that for a sapphire halo??

biohacker,
Do they not make the dish halo in sapphire any longer?

They do, however the Sapphire nail is like $300 and the sapphire insert is $50. They function differently it seems. From what I've read, the sapphire insert is nice for small dabs because it allows you to spread a thin layer of wax on the insert and just heat it up with convection above the nail for the best flavor. I would imagine the Sapphire halo nail is just conduction heat with the taste of the sapphire.

hey enail experts in here, :D

anyone of you have experience with using the dabinator coils on other brand controllers?

I just got a cheap enail from DHgate, with a 20mm coil and hoped it would fit my "quartz club banger 2.0" from dabinator

But it dont fit, the coil is slightly too small

So I was looking on dabinators website and noticed they sell their whip stand alone, would this whip be able to work properly with this dhgate controller?

Maybe i could even try and get into the SiC from Dnail if this works? i would be willing to pay the shipping from US to EU if i knew there was a way i could make it work,

Has anyone paired a sapphire insert with a recent SIC halo and want to give a review or tips? Im itching to buy somethung as its been about a year since I ordered my enail setup. I have an auber 200 and a fc-710 with dnail slim, sic halo and carb cap. I have been in love with no need to spend anymore money on toys until I logged in tonight and read the comment above reminding me about the sapphire insert.

That's the exact setup (minus the glass) that I have coming later this week, I'll let you know how the sapphire insert performs

To be honest, I had a sapphire insert but broke it after a couple weeks. I am very careful with all of my gear, it was never dropped or torched. One day I noticed a crack through it and then a few days later it broke. I don't really miss it...

Most people seem to go with the SiC setup from dnail combined with a cheaper controller
I mostly do smaller sized dabs but not "mini" and heard the SiC wastes less concentrate

leaning more and more towards this setup instead of the quartz from dabinator :

trying to make sure i order the right items since i have to pay a higher shipping fee to eu

Halo dish
Flat coil heater
Slim Base
Carb cap

And i guess the D-nail flat coil aswell? worried it will not heat properly without the original coil?

puts me at 316$ with the coil and 226 without
