New Portable H Enail with built in glass bubbler by Green Light Vapes

I'm one who owns this device and I had it for about 2 wks (casual after work use, three to 4 hits a night) until experiencing an odd odor that was not there when first using the device. My H-ENAIL (green light ver but from edabsdirect) is starting to get the charred look around the ceramic heating element / nail seating. I notice the same odd smell when not vaping extracts..with a thoroughly cleaned / IPA'd nail.

This signals to me that all things pointed out by others previously are probably true to a certain degree, but others can judge for themselves. I stopped immediately using the device after my own observations and it's beyond coincidence to see this being brought up.

Yes, I should have cleaned the residual off, but I'm in a rush out the door... def not the same degree of usage as seen on the reddit post, but I did not like the funky odor being given off (and making a variety of types taste the same imo).

Hmm if one was to place a pyrex tube between the rod and nail seating looks like there is space for something thin that might solve the heat issue.

but ouch on the second picture this clearly shows insulation is needed over the whole area a piece of kevlar place between might do the trick here or ceramic washer or alike

or even a steel screen with a hole in the middle would have to be thin a screen would displace the heat some

Okay.. I just ordered the Cloud V Electro Enail. To me, it looks like the Electro is the best of the bunch as far as quality materials backed by a reputable company. It has two temperature settings 800F and 1000F is very portable and from you tube videos it seems like it functions very well. I'll chime in again after I've given the Electro a thourough workout.

Does anyone own the Electro?

Which glass piece did you get?,This one i ended up passing on they did not seem to sell the glass by itself
personally it should come with both.

So i see this as plain simple greed sorry second was the battery they could had used 26650 so they be removable and replaceable.

I ordered the glass with the side arm as I like to watch the action on the nail and it comes with a carb cap. They also offer an hydrotube which doesn't appeal to me as much. And no, they don't sell those glass pieces separately, but I read that they will soon offer the glass only option...

As far as the battery is concerned, reviewers are saying you can get 30 to 40 dab cycles per charge. As to the longevity of the battery itself, I have no idea..

I was thinking of getting a cloud V at some point, but 800 and 1000f? No thankyou. What about those low temps?

Yeah, initially that's what I thought too, but some testers say they heat it to 800F then wait 6 or 7 seconds for it to cool a bit( 650F or so ?) before dropping their dab.. That technique may be good for low temperature flavor chasers..

I expect to receive my Electro by Tuesday.. I'll post my initial thoughts next week.. This device may not be perfect, but it seems like the best portable Enail out there right now..

@Chill Dude Yeah I guess there's always a workaround. Still I don't think I'll be going for it unless the reviews are amazing. If I have to guess temperature I'd rather just use a mini rig and nail that i already have. Granted it's not quite as discreet.

I suppose the same could be said about the h enail but there's at least a wider temp range to choose from, it's just a shame about the questionable materials.

Not really sure why they can't/haven't added proper temperature control yet. Maybe it's not as simple as it seems.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. Perhaps their next version will have 3 heat settings.. It would be nice to see 1000F, 800F and 600F. Maybe they thought that because the heater reaches peak temp and then losses heat rather quickly that 600F wouldn't be hot enough to fully vaporize that long inhale big dab hit.. Just speculation on my part..

They must have just had some of the first stocked unit because Dr. Dauber has put out like 3 different versions of the Boost by now.

The first which had the Teflon base.

The second swapped the Teflon base with a Ceramic due to melting Teflon issues and it also added the screw on Nail.

The third one which is the latest and which I just received is identical to the second version but has the 2 temperature modes and came with the screw on Ti nail and Ceramic. (3 clicks is one heat setting then 5 clicks is the other which is recommended for the Ceramic nail)

I am working atm but I can get pictures up when I get home, I've had and been through all 3 versions so feel free to ask me anything.

Were any of the iterations received gratis from Dr. Dabber due to such quick redesigns and result of the errant teflon usage in the first? Just wondering how they've handled this.. thanks!

Oh well I'm sure the Dr. will help I've had nothing but great results when it comes to their customer service IMO there no questions asked policy is great some people have had issues with their CS and the only downside I could say is the timing but they do eventually get around to everyone even though the time frame may vary depending on how many tickets they have.

Head over to this thread http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-dr-dabber-pen.10680/page-56

And post there or just PM @Dr.Dabber here on FC I'm sure with you providing proof of purchase and what not they might be able to work with you.

Their website still list the original then..they dont have screw on nails or ceramic??if dabber had new versions then why wouldnt they sell on their site??they comtinue to sell the older one??

Oh boy am I royally pissed now...I have been searching and wanting to buy the one with the ceramic head and nail..so dr dabber website gives description of the one with the two ti nails and not the screw in version..so I checked YouTube and vape critic has video of him reviewing boost with ceramic top and ceramic nail so I make a comment as to. Why it's not available on site? All the while I'm email dr. Dabber and no response and I'm talking with randy and he email dr. Dabber and wait for response and I go ahead and buy from randy at same price as dr. Dabber website and lo and behold I get the two ti nail kit that are pressure fit with I believe to be Teflon top and I check back on YouTube and vape critic had responded to my comment and say dr dabber re did their description on their website and now it says ceramic nail with ceramic top..Yada Yada Yada...all this in a span of like 3 days because of how fast randy ships..but this sucks and I'm pissed..I searched all of these models sites and none of them had the ceramic listed at all??now dr dabber does....damnit!!!

Well if you follow them on any of their social media channels IG, Twitter, Facebook they were teasing the Ceramic nail availability which was actually this week so that is why the site wasn't updated until recently.

They also have a new heated dab tool coming that looks neat!

Oh btw here are some pictures of the nails.

I'm just honestly a frequent purchaser on some of their products I've owned the Light and Ghost pens and their Honey Rig etc... And I also emailed them sent them PM on here and posted in the thread so I was sure there would be 3 ways they could see my messages.

I felt like I may have bothered a bit and made things confusing having different conversations across the various sites but in the end it was effective as I got responses through both and everything handled well but I just hit them on every front so to speak just so I could get the customer service faster.

They may have you send back your original unit of course but I'm sure they may work some sort of upgrade out you should report back and let us know your experience after getting a hold of them.

It looks like at least one vendor (the one I purchased from) that had the old Greenlight G9 PTFE top model for sale (stock held and shipped from the US) is now offering an updated 'Pro' version. This update changes out the operating base to a model w/ a ceramic top and with what looks to be a more pronounced ceramic heating element (perhaps just optical illusion due to more spacing and area for the improved / larger Ti nail to be screwed into).

I have it on good knowledge that an all ceramic screw-in nail will be offered in the near future for this iteration. Probably the same nail / screw-in ceramic option the Dr. Dabber is releasing soon as well. I'm guessing the trickle-down effect in some regards from other production lines (China) helped assist the release of this 'Pro' version.

Anyway, a welcome option for those who thought their unit might be a wash and an update for safety concern sake in general. Perhaps the vendor will offer an option for base purchases only for those who have the glass bubbler/mouthpiece already.

Does anybody else one the Cloud Electro? I bought it because it seemed stronger than the Dr. Dabber Boost, however my titanium nails are dying left and right. I found a website where they add the larger nail for free, and I just broke my third and final nail. I am left wondering if these nails are just seriously faulty, or if I have a bad device?

*edit* Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, I just haven't seen any threads on that device.

Iv'e had the Cloud V Electro for about two weeks now and have had no problems whatsoever. I'm using the 12mm nail and have done maybe 25 dabs so far and the nail is great.. As @Copacetic stated, it's probably a faulty heater or a problem with the battery contact.. The nails themselves are high quality and the Cloud performs amazingly so far..I'd contact customer service to troubleshoot the problem..

I like the 800F heat level best... Great taste and enough heat for that big dab. The 1000F is a little too hot IMO, others may like the higher heat to finish off those monster dabs though..

I love this device so much that I've stored away my torch/oil rig. 15 second heat up time, tasty dabs and easy to maintain..

I like to hear from others that own the Cloud Electro...

First, sorry for my grubby fingers and nail.. sigh, macro shots pick up everything! :)

So, this is the updated G9 Greenlight H-ENAIL with the ceramic top and screw in nail. I received it yesterday and used it throughout last night. As you can see the ceramic top is a little bit shorter than the PTFE top (some of the pics below are deceiving as the magnetic base is on the newer device making the overall height seem equal).

The ceramic is the real deal and as you can see the ceramic heating element is taller, along with the screw in nail rather than just using gravity to secure it to the device and element. I was wondering if efficiency, heating times, and overall functionality would be improved by this and it has. Heat times, getting up to the third heat cycle if you wish... using it a manner where you pre-load and just use the hole on the carb cap to sip hits so to speak as you cycle the device through heat levels-- it all works much more efficiently.

I didn't get my clock app out or anything, but I might sometime this weak and show a short video of the two devices without the glass top on going through said cycles to show how drastically it does shorten the times until the green light appears. This in essence also allow those using it in the traditional manner to have a much hotter/dabbable nail even in the first cycle (as opposed to melting the product and simmering it down when you're wanting a direct hit all in one... at least thats what i found on the older version.

1) Safer design to squash any worries -- no off smells, just pure low temp terps thus far

2) Much better contact of nail to the ceramic heating element, along with the element protruding more enhancing the coupling w/ the nail.

I'm very happy about this option and getting the HENAIL back into my lineup of items after I had written it off a few weeks back. Big shout out to edabsdirect and the excellent CS they've provided!
