Which design do you personally like better and why?

What about you @tylerj55

I do like the sound of siC but if the quartz heating element in the vista is superior than I would rather go with quartz.

Do the H enails have multiple temp settings or is it one temp?
Oh wow! Sorry for the confusion, I was not paying much attention when I wrote that lol. I need those SiC nails too. I ordered larger nails from Dabado, as they thread onto the 510 nail from greenlight vapes as well.

I prefer the 510 nail form factor, but the Vista is so much better when it comes to efficiency. It hits and tastes just like a quartz nail and I would only be happier if I could actually dab and not pre pack.

So out of all of the "e-rigs" which ones do y'all think are worth buying? I've been heaitant to buy one because of all the pictures I've seen of them melting or being partially plastic/teflon. Are these "safe" yet? how often do the nails need replacing (with proper care)?

buy any of the current versions with the screw in style nails and they are safe. I have only broken 1 ceramic nail in a few months. Ti last longer.

Can I use LgHE4 or LGhg2 batteries with this device?

yes, any high discharge 18650 like that will work. Those are 2 of my favorites

Hey peeps! Checking in on the latest from the major players for these devices - let me know if you heard different or there's another one not on the list.

Henail - available on their site for $99. Heard rumors they are coming out with a SiC nail but haven't seen it

Edabs Direct/Errlmod: Their site has been "undergoing a quick refresh" for like, a year, and the V2 devices are sold out on the parent company's site. Bummer because the nails were all one piece so you can torch them clean, unlike literally every other nail out there with a glued or welded-on thread/base.

Dabado: new Bolt M 2xl "pro" nail out for $99.00. Dropped the V1 price to $69.99 Also some new glass pieces that look pretty sick.

Dr. Dabber: Same 1st gen nail, some new glass similar to Dabado's glass, some cheaper, some more expensive, $99.00 for the basic unit but lots of sales and discount codes if you sign up for mailing list

Source Nail: the donuts bust at like 20 watts and the cups crack. They want $50 for 3 new nails. Won't be pursuing this one lol.

Then there are the 10 million Ebay knockoffs. I'd stay away for fear of what's lurking in the materials, especially at $15 ea.

Did I miss any?

I just got the dabber enail recently and I don't really care for it. Im looking for something portable with a bubbler but I find this to be very harsh. And it doesn't last anywhere near the advertised battery life. Are the other brands any different to use really? I guess I'm asking if it's enails, or THIS enail that I don't like?

Are you using the battery it comes with, or did you get the Bolt M that can attach to any 510 threaded battery? The key with these is to get one that you can use on any mod, then get a good Temp Controlled mod that will allow you to control the temp for different materials/resistance. Once you dial in your temp control so you're not burning the oil, the Dr. Dabber should taste/function just as good as any of the others. IIRC it even heats up faster than some due to thicker lead wires and ceramic rod.

PS: They have a great warranty and customer service if the battery is not working as advertised - email them, but you'd be better off switching to a Temp controlled battery in the long run.

Thanks for the reply! I was wondering about the 510 attachment but I needed to do some more research and find out if it had the option for temp control. I wasn't sure about it where it's a ceramic rod heating up a TI cup/nail. It's good to know that finally. Ive been in contact with their customer service and they had said that I could return it. Thnks.

Seen these on Dh gate yesterday, like the form factor as I still have my V1 Dabbie from vapefiend and use it on occasion with its standard Ti nail. While it works perfectly fine I find the whole dabbing on it quite clumsy and pre loading is the easier way to go (not dabbing then tho are you?)

http://www.dhgate.com/product/kanbo...eramic-nail-high/394143680.html#mfavit-2-null

These seem to follow the curve taken by the yocan models but minus the coils as it's a standard ceramic bowl screw in, looks like it will be far easier to load and dab on properly.

Anyone tried one of these?

Just so Dab HAppy!
Waiting for just the attachment to show up on dhgate. $199 is insane pricing.
Well if the SiC dish uses the same threading and is the same size as their other nails then they already have the 510 adapter...you just need them to sell the SiC nails separately or with the adapter. There is an advantage to the TC Port tho over using the SiC dish on an adapter and mod box. The advantage is you do not have to hold the button down and no or a much longer cutoff timer. I hate trying to dab on a mod box setup because I just don't seem to have enough hands!

I got a Greenlight G9 at The Cave in San Diego. Got home, no battery I side the case...drove back 15 miles and guy stuck in a 3000mah whatever. Charged it, never got a red light when I plugged it in, that's odd? Tried to use it. Clicked it three times, light turned white, then just turned blue after 15-20 seconds...so I tried to dab a typical dab of some really runny CO2 extract, and it sizzled a little, gave off a little stream of mist, but never blasted off like I imagined... in fact, it never did jack and after I let that cool, the pool was still full! So I heated it up and the entire time it was essentially putting out vape...great, like a room humidifier. But not enough to get any sort of real hit. So I clean it out and I get my infared thermometer and I cycle it once and it goes to 97 degrees before turning blue, not green, and that's it. So I hit it again for the second cycle, and it hardly goes up, it's 125 now, hit it a third time and it's 145 before turning blue again. This is crap, I'm taking it back. So I drive the 15 miles again, same guy at the shop, and he basically says it works, look, it's hot. And I try to explain it isn't hot like it needs to be, something is wrong, just give me my money back. All this within 24 hours of purchasing this POS, and he's trying to weasel out of giving me my money back. I was tired having drive to that store three times to try and get this thing to work and return it, once he said come back tomorrow, I grabbed it out of his hand and left....and he didn't like that, he told me not to grab that out of his hand like that as I was walking out the door. Disputed the charge just now...the unit seems cool but my first experience was a bad one, gonna take a while before I commit to another one.

I have hesitated to post about my experience with Greenlight as its isolated and I have no idea if my experience can be accurately generalized but basically, I don't trust a thing from them.

I bought a G9 Omron enail controller from them via Alibaba. It was definitely bought from Greenlight. I bought it because a friend on this board has one and it worked wonderfully for him and was properly equipped with an external solid state relay inside the box, proper wiring through out, and proper default settings on the Omron. This guy knows enails and was happy with it so I bought one.

Mine however, was a complete and utter POS and I can't believe that any engineer anywhere would be glad to put a unit out like this.

First, it didn't have PID turned on (duh) but when it was, and programmed with good Omron settings, the temp was still very unstable with large over/undershoots.

So, now time to peak inside the box. Oh, the horror....the horror. First, this box included the correct Omron PID unit that is capable/intended really to drive an external relay to switch power to the coil. This is absolutely necessary for good performance. This unit had the right Omron assembly but had absolutely no SSR at all.

Then the next apparent thing was that the Omrons have screw down wiring connectors....but Greenlight soldered the wires to the top of the screws. I had never seen anything like it. Wow.

Then, of course, it was wired correctly at all (aside from being soldered, I mean that the wiring was not terminated to the right connectors...oh, it worked sort of but badly).

Communications with them was torturous and they never seemed to grasp that their design and build of this box was completely faulty.

Finally, my dear and valued friend, @mutten840, agreed to help me and basically rebuilt the unit. Kept the Omron and the external case, added an SSR, rewired the whole bloody thing, program it correctly, put a better XLR connector on it, and now its a decent box.

So....perhaps not applicable to all Greenlight products but this was my experience and I will never buy anything from them again.

Eh, I just picked up the Mini after being disappointed in the original and my quartz nail lasted one dab. Titanium nail is still going though so maybe the quartz was a dud?

The TCPORT is a better H-Enail but still does not come close to the X-Vape Vista in my opinion. The only one I need to try now is the Dabado Bolt Pro, which looks like it might the best e-rig available. The Vista is amazing but I find packing it ahead of time works best, and I really enjoy all aspects of the dabbing process except for the torch, so I miss that when using the Vista.
