Made some brass screens. Work great. Plus I can adjust them to even using less than the basket screens. :)

I'm really liking this idea, does a smaller bowl let you do a session without stirring? I don't mind stirring, but I'd love to have the option to go without sometimes.

I also saw your post about doing concentrates, I tried to go back through the posts to see if you said what you're using but I didn't see anything. What are you using to hold the oil? I thought I saw a post about someone using one of those ss oil pads.

Also thanks @djchexxx for the stem advice, @mistvaporizer pm'ed me way too soon after I posted that considering he's on vacation. Working too hard.

It definitely allows for no stirring between hits. And the smaller screens form easily into the basket form. Also, I use cotton, 100% organic of course. I use my water pipes when doing concentrates because then there is no way for any dripping. This thing is a beast. :)

Always doing it through water so it's upside down, that's smart. Wax dripping down into the unit is definitely something I would be constantly worrying about while doing it right side up.

My poor stem broke, luckily I was able to improvise.

Also really enjoying how this looks.

I am using thin Underdog silicone tubing and a Firewood capsule inside of it. Heat shrink padded to create a grip against the black tube. O-rings added for visual appeal. They also can assist in preventing too far of insertion although mine are not reaching the bottom of the wood because the stem starts to angle too much.

Nice mouthpiece ! :)

Can anyone recommend a cheap 14-14 m2m adapter fitting the MVT? Preferrably on dhgate?
The ones I keep finding over there all seem to have that "buldge" in between the male joints... I know that my 14-18 m2m does NOT fit correctly.. that damn buldge presses against the body, not providing a proper seal.
Grateful for any tips! :)

Hello @vapen00b!
Just a suggestion for ya.
You can use your factory stem through water.

Just slide a piece of silicone on the tip and it will mate to a 14mm female.
If you double up on the silicone you can use an 18mm female joint.

Here is a quick vid I posted a while back that shows using the stock stem through water, you can see the silicone, how simple it is, and how well it works!

Nice improvising @paytonpenn! Very cool looking!

Hi Doc!

Thanks for replying. Actually, that's what I've done until now as workaround. But my connection is a bit wobbly and stem-combo is too long to be really secure... It's moving after a while and I have to pay attention all the time. Using an orbiter - and that orb gets off-centered due to the center of gravity. Need a fixed connection. Glass and mishaps you know :p

When I got my beta unit I got the same feeling (except the loose battery!) until I realized it take 8-9 seconds to see the coil to glow!

The positive must to be up.

Mistvaporizer will help you!

I held it for 20 seconds and put my finger in the oven and it wasn't warm at all and I certainly didn't see the coil glow.

Just got the lid door contact issue!

That's not the first time but I took the battery out and put it in back....and it was working again!

I remenber i got the same issue with my Apollo and manufacturer told me to scrape a bit the door lid to improve contact, check your battery ends are clean enough too. I remenber a guy from the beta test team posted about to place a bit of paper somewhere to improve connection and fix loose battery.

Your frustration is totally understandable but remenber this is a one man company and a whole new vaporizer, be confident @mistvaporizer will help you, that's a really good guy!

Most of the time, when i got an heating issue it is coming from I forgotten I didn't charged the battery!

And rarely it's coming from a not tight enough lid.

My stock stem fits relatively airtight in a 18 to 14 reducer.

(I know that's not dhgate but that is what mine looks like)

May add some silicon but my silicon whip I think is a bit too big. @Vape Dr. what's a local store I could get silicon tubing or do you just always buy online? Would be good to have some extra

@HellsWindStaff I bought a bunch of magic flight and vapexhale tubing.

I also always find a use for those little silicone E-cig filter caps. The ones that keep the filter from drying out.

Sears hardware also carried medical silicone tubing in a 6 foot length, but the one by me closed down.

McArdle surgical supply also carried surgical silicone tubing as well in any length if I recall correctly.

Haha so like a wooden button at the top for you that you can flip to be a safety switch like normal? That doesn't sound too bad actually, until you can get it proper at least...

Yeah exactly like that haha, especially now once I fixed the battery door not touching the battery. Sadly the other issue is still unresolved.

Once I insert the battery nothing happens. Once I touch the touch button it starts heating and doesn't stop. Ever. Until I pull out the battery door again. I hope I will be able to fix this myself, depends what Dave says once he's back. But I already grew very fond of the device, learned to regulate with the door pretty well and I will be sad to let it go again if I need to send it in.

@polopo54 Did you post pics of your MVT w wood stems? lemme seeeeee

Gotcha!

My unit did this and had to be repaired by Dave. There was a short somewhere, so it was always "on". I bet if you insert the battery and don't touch the button at all it will still heat up. I thought that the first "touch" was necessary in the beginning, but it turns out that it wasn't. In any case, I am sure Dave will fix you up with a working unit soon enough.
