Micro-dosing

I am a micro-doser who enjoys using water and a Mooselabs filter. My Pinch Hitter was nice but a little restrictive and I'd like to go wireless, so I'm gonna try the IO Hornet kit here...

Is the pinch hitter pid the only pid you have? if you have a pid with us wiring (ch, auber, disordely, etc), all you would need is a coil and the hornet kit here:

although I suppose if the coil is $50 that brings your total to $250, which is only $100 less that the package!

@Grow Goddess I am wondering how you would compare the signature or effects between a hornet / dv bowl and a regular dv cap and bowl? are they the same to you or different?
Being that I am somewhat a beginner with using the caps, I don't think I am the best person to speak on that.
I pretty much only use the cap when I am out in the woods and there is no other option. Otherwise I use my own design with the heating coil.
I like the baller cap. The cap compared to the hornet, the baller is not as tasty or predictable. A lot of times I get a harsh hit. The hornet is pretty much the same each time once the temps are dialed in. In my opinion, the Hornet is the best heater for DV when it comes to home/table top use. I have no interest in any other heater now that I have used the Hornet, unless I am out and about and a table top unit is not useable. I really love the Hornet and have been using it with a lot of different bowls, pipes, etc.

Wanted to write a quick micro-doser's review of the IO Hornet / Crossing Tech Station with 16mm coil kit that VGoodies sells... it's good.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the station. It's much smaller than I'd understood, maybe 3" square?

And I like the PID because I like having a nice red on/off switch up front AND both cables coming out the back. My ADHD is happy. :)

The ambisexual heater is on a nice wooden wand, and the slender part of the stainless steel dual-shaft contraption that holds the rubies sits well in the coil. The rig gets hot (I like around 500F) in about 3 minutes - long enough for me to fill the metal bowl that comes in the kit.

That metal bowl is small, kinda looks like a spinning top toy, and holds maybe about the same amount as the little ceramic pots that the Tafee Bowle 2 uses... about 0.2 grams (or even less).

Both the heater and the metal bowl feel good in the hand and look nicely machined. The whole rig is completely unobtrusive on my end table.

The heater and both bowls in the kit (there's a glass one too) mate via diffusion (rather than injection) so the heater is the female side.

The metal bowl is my favorite. It tastes great (I like it better than titanium) and it allows you, if you wish, to heat-soak the bowl. Heat soaking is a nice way to vary the level of punch.

The glass bowl has a fidgety metal screen. I don't love it. I like the idea of it, but the metal bowl is just leaps better.

My last foray into ball vapes was a Pinch Hitter. This is better, for me. Wireless, adjustability, small size, free airflow... yeah. :)
