Great to hear from you and thx for sharing . As @Jill NYC says, there are probably a number of good options. This is the one I've had for >2.5 years so far.Hello fellow microdosers. I am fairly sure I am one of you but I will have to do some more accurate measurements before I can officially become a full member. I tried to measure out a .05 load with my scale that is supposed to be accurate to the hundredths but I suspect I need one rated for .001 to get a real measurement. I weighed out .05 the other night to load into my FW7 and was surprised how big of a pile it was. Then the next day I tried to do the same and I kept putting more and more on the scale before it started to register anything. Was probably 2-3 times more than the .05 I measured the night before so obviously I don't know how much I am really getting. I do know that one full dynavap bowl is plenty to get me as far as I want to go anymore. I am someone who would go through 7g in a day in the early 2000s so it's still something how little I go through. I often take a small edible dose of rso dissolved in emulsified mct oil in my coffee around 5-8mg THC. Then I will take one hit of vapor if I need to adjust things.
Does anyone know what the go to scale is nowadays for claimed accuracy down to .001? I think people used to recommend the gemini 20 or something but that was many years since I looked at them. I would like to be able to measure my herb down to .01 with reliability.
I focused on vaping a single 0.050 gram amount [last weekend] on Friday, then I did the same thing again on Saturday and the same again on Sunday. It was different strains and was glass mason jar stored w/ a moisture packet.
Last Sunday for a change I vaped two 0.0250 gram bowls (different cannabis strains) at low temp (320 F) over 2.5-3 hrs. Then 2.5-3 hrs later I combined the AVB and vaped it @ 380 F.
Friend, I think you've confused microdosing with macrodosing. Under no definition of microdosing discussed here over several years is what you are doing even close to microdosing. Au contraire. No judgement either way as I subscribe to both over time.Yesterday I started my morning with my usual 2 cups of coffee. Whisked in 1/4 tsp of my rso infused emulsified mct oil which is something around 5-7mg THC into the second cup. Later in the afternoon I had another coffee with another 5-7mg THC in it. Spent the day cleaning some of my vapes up a little. Then I loaded for the evening dose a full packed dyna tip worth of fine ground gelato #33 into the Firewood 7. Finished that over a couple hours. I ate a capsule with a little hash abv in it as well. I feel like I way over did it but I think many people would laugh at the amount. I think total THC must have been around 30-40mg through the day.
Today I am trying something a little different. This morning I loaded as small a dab as I could onto a paper clip of grapefruit durban shatter onto the coil of my trvp v3 and finished it in one small hit. Got fairly lifted from that and walked for 30 minutes. I did notice it seemed to wear off faster than I am used too with dry herb but maybe because of raised tolerance from previous day. I already took another micro dab an hour twenty minutes after of some starkiller live sugar. Again I notice it giving a large lift but not lasting as long as expected. I get a burned out feeling from these morning sessions I find.
I haven't seen a definition of microdosing in the cannabis world. In the world of psychadelics, where I became aware of the term, it is usually defined as 1/10 of a normal dose and the intention is that it be subliminal.Friend, I think you've confused microdosing with macrodosing. Yeah you do, welcome to the clubI haven't seen a definition of microdosing in the cannabis world. In the world of psychadelics, where I became aware of the term, it is usually defined as 1/10 of a normal dose and the intention is that it be subliminal.
With cannabis, I usually consume small bowls of 0.03 to 0.05 grams as one-hit extractions from which I definitely get high. Am I microdosing?
Alright I have finished the 5 day reset from the first dr Sulak video (2 day complete break, then 3 days with dosing for minimal effect). Very interesting to notice effects get stronger while taking with a single hit over the course of those days.Been pretty quiet here, I assume a number of FCers are quietly microdosing still. Speak up and let us know how things are going.
Microdosing is all I do and I'm still 0.05 grams per session (sometimes 0.025 grams). I've only vaped on Fri night through the weekend for years now and more lately I've been trying fewer and fewer sessions in that time period. It's helped me better manage my productivity during the week. My cannabis tolerance is low low and the effects are crazy strong . I recently greened out on four 0.05 gram bowls in one day (and don't do that much any longer).... and over the winter I was dabbing and for a while was greening near 50% of the time. I've been on a dab break since the winter as well. The plan forward is to start vaping 0.04 grams of cannabis per session when I have quality (and I do have a number of quality batches). I know it's powerful enough to still fully enjoy and experience.
For anyone interested in cannabis microdosing, Dr. Sulak is absolutely excellent as mentioned often on FC.
What's up?
Have a great weekend.
In this thread you're microdosing. Generally, microdosing most psychedelics is described as doses that do not cause intoxication or significant alteration of consciousness, but that's not the case with how many people use the term when taking cannabis. Intoxication and altering consciousness is still the aim. I'm fine with how the term is used here and go with the flow. In this thread, I've seen 0.050 grams amounts of cannabis or less most often described as microdosing.I haven't seen a definition of microdosing in the cannabis world. The TM is great with very small amounts like that. However it is pretty easy to extract it more quickly than you might like. Temp stepping is a great way to prolong a small bowl, but you will probably find you are fully extracting even a .05 bowl in 1-2 hits if you aren't careful. Don't get me wrong, I love my tinymight but it is very efficient.I'm new to dry herb vapes, but I want to stay in the microdosing realm. My next vape will likely be a Tinymight or a Heat Island (not sure which...). Are these suitable for the .05 or .025g bowls that microdosers are using?
Grass Yes, my primary goal is to maximize flavor, so I'm ok with 1-2 flavorful hits and I do like lower temps. I rarely ever go over 392. My FC research says that the Tinymight and Heat Island may be the 2 best vapes for flavor, so if they both work well for microdosing, then I just have to decide on one. What would you say is your best log/setup for flavor (for microdosing) and again, if flavor was your only concern would you go with the log or TM?The TM is great with very small amounts like that. I don't have a Heat Island, but all my logs work well with small amounts of flower too.
Probably not a satisfying answer but I would say both. My CouchLog has fantastic flavor and I have heard nothing but good about the Heat Island. My other logs are not as flavorful but still great. What would you say is your best log/setup for flavor (for microdosing) and again, if flavor was your only concern would you go with the log or TM?
You should probably get on the list for a GTR now. You'll have plenty of time to decide before your turn comes up.Ariwe, yes temperature control is important... analog dial like TM is fine, but that is a requirement for me. The "problem" is now that I'm looking at a wait for the TM2 and the Heat Island GTR and reviews. It's going to take some willpower to overcome VAS while I wait and I have a feeling availability will remain low on the GTR, and perhaps even the TM2.
I emailed Alan. No way to know how long the wait will be I guess. You should probably get on the list for a GTR now. You'll have plenty of time to decide before your turn comes up.
I also use my Tinymight for microdosing when taking a break from the Volcano.
I can concur it is very efficient.
