I haven't gotten my LSV yet.. but was just wondering. Couldn't a glassblower make a custom tube that fits ontop of the LSV kinda like the VXhale?
Also, is the hc/joint 18mm on the LSV?

Its a male spherical GG joint, with a female 18mm GG joint inside it, so if you could get a glassblower to make you something, you would need a male joint at the bottom, while the cloud has a male joint, it's tube needs a female joint.

So basically, yes, you could er something similar, but you need a male joint at the bottom instead of a female.
You would also need to make sure there is a screen in there so that your bud doesn't just get sucked up into your tube.

so how hot does this thing get? I've seen a mixture of comfortable warmth and too hot to handle comments in this thread. can this be avoided by simply turning the temp dial down when you're taking a little oxygen break from vaping? likewise, how long does it take for the LSV to get uncomfortably hot? my sessions can last anywhere from 30 mins up to 2 hours (probably more sometimes.), depending on my mood. with my VHW, i usually leave it on for the longer sessions, but turn the temp down all the way when I know I'll be on a hiatus. I leave it on because it requires the 10 minute warm up period. I wonder if I'll even have this problem with the LSV since its warm up time is 3 minutes. I just hope I'm not going to have to wear the "Ove Glove" to use the LSV haha.

....mine is ready in 2 minutes....it can get real hot....real hot...I can do 2 bowls comfortably without turning it off....and I'm very well done...then I turn it off...you will not leave it on all day like the silver surfer...

wow a 30 min session up to 2 hours. holy shit bro!!! hahahahah i'm fuckin high as shit in 5-10 mins. my lsv gets really hot around the 30 min mark but i can still hold it. warm up time really is around 2-3 mins which is awesome.

I own two LSVs, and both of them can be left on for hours, I even forgot one during a whole night at its lowest setting and it was fine in the morning. My other LSV get a bit hotter, and if it's true it can be really hot after 2 hours I can always at least hold it to use and cool it down by hitting with it.
Side Note : I just wanted to share my experience but don't advice any reader to do the same as the user manual clearly state to turn off the LSV after use.

heat up time 2 min also...this vape is really awsome.
had it fallen from my knees countless times in a year and half and it's working and looking like new.

talked to chris at 7th floor...they didn't know that you are unable to access custom transfer wand link.... on the site...so hopefully that will be remedied soon....

I've left mine on at vaping temp for a few hours(4ish), and it definitely gets hot, quite hot, but never too hot to hold IMO.
Otherwise you could keep a washcloth handy, I usually set mine down on one, and if it's particularly hot, I can just pick it up with the washcloth. (I generally don't find this necessary, but it helps if you feel like its too hot.)

i think the Cloud is the evolution of the LSV/VHW. i haven't tried the cloud yet but from what i've heard it a much improved design over the LSV. but one thing i love about the LSV id having the bowl separate, so i never have to worry about oils and waxes getting inside my vape.

How is the Cloud a “evolution” or a “much improved design” ?

I don't really think the LSV and Cloud are even that similar, and definitely don’t think the cloud is as versatile with water pieces or glass wands. The current LSV heater cover is spherical ground glass that fits ball and socket with their water pipe adapter bowl. The heater cover also accepts 18mm GonG male connection for glass wands and other adapters and possibilities. Not to mention the exposed heating element.. the possibilities are endless.

I have seen the videos and I read the Cloud thread daily. I have read the Cloud has advanced heat retention but I have never had a problem with the LSV heat even with hours of party use.

The whole Cloud concept is questionable to me just because its primarily designed to have a water filled glass tube sit on top of the electronic heating source. What if someone coughs while taking a hit? Not to mention the Cloud looks very awkward when used upside down with any normal piece of glass and not their hydra-tube.

on a side note... a true evolution in my opinion would be the LSV design in something smaller and battery operated (fuel cell ?!?!)

i guess i really shouldn't of commented on the subject since i haven't tried the Cloud yet. but come tomorrow i will know the truth.

but to me the cloud is kinda an evolution, by evolution i just mean an improvement on an existing idea.

Not trying to derail the LSV thread with Cloud talk but comparisons are very important.

Really curious on your reasons of how the Cloud is an improvement? What aspect/s of the Cloud is improved over the LSV?

This is a LSV thread and we're simply comparing the LSV's features to a similar vape. I like the fact that the LSV has been out longer and we all know and love 7th Floor. I'm going to YouTube to check out some vids with glass.

sorry i was just talking from a design point of view. first we had vapes with whips, then came vapes made to use with glass (LSV/VHW) then moved to vape built with glass (cloud). as you can see i stated a few times i haven't tried the cloud yet :)

i'm testing out the cloud tomorrow. so stay tuned for some direct comparison. performance wise.

...... I do believe there is room for more than 1 vape in the world...I will be happy to digest a lsv's users perception of the cloud...there's value in that...I do not believe it diminishes the performance of the lsv...

For oils, you still need a matrix of herb to vape it, right? There's no specific adapter, or is there?

I have noticed that the lsv has added a health stone under acc. I havn't used or purchased one yet but I assume it fits in the WPA, and I'de imagine this would allow you to use those concentrates on their own.
