Almost there...
Round one for Saturday...

Think i found my favourite combo so far!!
A small JM Flo Octopus sidecar with my 19mm female adapter off to the side.
This is the rig:
http://smokecartel.com/collections/views-on-sale/products/jm-flow-sci-octopus-perc-sidecar-bubbler

This rig has almost zero drag and it works seamlessly with the open LSV!!

The bonus thing with this set up is i can actually watch the vapour stream from the bottom of the ELB!
I can control the density by introducing more air by opening or closing the 19mm joints!
Very cool!! I like the visual on vapour density control!
ABV was a nice medium brown.

Still loving this vape signature!!

Almost there...
Another day of testing down and all I can still say is "WOW!"
Flowers, hash, shatter or any mixture of those vape perfectly!!
Amazing flavour as well as decent clouds with ease!!

At the moment I am using an M2M adapter with an ELB and Nano sized loads, maybe about 2mm of herb in the ELB!
Hits seem to last forever, just the density of the cloud seems to lessen but the flavour seems to stay around for quite a long time!

One thing I have found is that I have added a small piece of cotton to the joint and this is keeping everything super clean!!! There is a beautiful yellow spot developing in the cotton, cannot wait to sample what that oil tastes like!!!

As for temp ranges I find I heat it up at about 3pm until the rod is glowing red and then turn down to 11:30 and let it adjust for a minute. Anywhere from 11:30 to 1 to 1:30pm works amazingly well! Start low and work the dial till the load is spent!

Wish I had found this vape a long time ago...

EDIT:
Crappy video time!!!
This is a new set up i tried today!
M2M with a screen and some cotton and then another screen to wedge it together.
Added a Nano sized load to the ELB, LSV set at 11:30.
This is the JM FLO Octo perc bubbler, an Oregan GB adapter and a bit of silicone!
Beautiful!!
Will try and do a better quality video later today!

I've had an LSV for about a month now and I love it! I've mostly been using the transfer wand and a D020 bubbler depending on how I'm feeling.

One question though - I've seen it mentioned a few times in this thread that a smaller heater cover inlet hole leads to better performance and I'm trying to figure out why that would happen. Does the smaller hole increase the turbulence and improve heat transfer? Does the reduced pressure increase vaporization at the same temperature? Or is as simple as the smaller hole reducing the airflow for the same amount of lung effort?

Big hole lets too much air through, and the extra air doesn't heat up enough...

At least that's my estimation...

I'd think The pressure differential would have to be negligible at these pressures...

Hi guys, new to the forum and a not too knowledgable just yet but learning fast. Ive combusted for many years and now need to switch to vapeing fulltime. I have a MFLB and have considered an LSV for several months now, I just need to make the leap! What I wanted to ask is can you recommend a fairly cheap decent bubbler for the LSV and if possible provide me with some links. Much appreciated.

Still a workhorse and not bad for cheap glass. But it is a throw of the dice at times for quality and shipping times.

You asked the same question over in the "cheap bubblers" thread and got some great answers there.

LSV made it in yesterday and I've been testing it thoroughly ever since !
Wasn't impressed with the wpa as much as i have before. The big winner was the EQ basket and 18mto18m:razz:
It's been great but I'm holding out until I get the ssv heater cover and gong.
This should be a testament to awesome the LSV is. Sold my first a year ago ad here I am backin this thread !
Can't wait to fire it up after I get off work and go exploring nature with my dog.
Already got some hemp filter in there soaking up the goods.
Pulled it out yesterday and did one pull through my EFS with the cloud. HOLY COW.
I was out. 1 hit KO.
Many thanks to @stickstones for providing me with a lifetimes supply. Or the rate I'm using it 10 years ;)

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
This thing is so fun I can't stop making videos.

Made some qwiso, topped a load:
Vapor as thick as soup, :o, and I'm sucking as hard as I can

Had to cut the money shot short, I wandered into the frame, :ninja:
Nice vid, looks like the money shot landed on the joint to bubbler connection. What is that aquarium silicone caulk?!?

Man that vape is badass!!!

Nice bubbler ;-)

I don't know how it does it but this bubbler pulls vapor like a beast without much effort. Just feels different than all my other pieces. Almost bought a Cheech Frothilator after I broke this one.

What is that aquarium silicone caulk?!?

Man that vape is badass!!!

Thanks. Yup some silicone. Broke it trying to apply a plastic keck clip, :bang:

Why waste such a beautiful bubbler that still functions, :freak:

HOT TIP TIME!!!!

Only keep one M2M in your vape area at a time! Especially if only one has a ELB/screen!!!
Grabbed the wrong one last night during a session and vacuumed up the load, straight into my mouth!!
Girl Scout Cookies does not taste good unvaped! LOL!!!

LSV Strikes again!!

I've never been a fan of the suck to load method...

Loads too much into the adapter, and always ends up with something getting in my mouth...

I just scoop my WPA through my Bud Container and I'm a happy camper.

I recently got a tiny little spoon for loading measured doses in the sub, and it's pretty damn good for loading up the LSV too :)

I've had my LSV for several years now and I'm quite sure its efficiency has been slowly going down and I have to keep going higher and higher on the temp dial (I now start at 3 o clock or a bit higher).

Does the heating element wear out with time or could it be because I never cleaned the bottom filter or the glass part inside the metal cage (because they barely got dirty after all these years)?

I doubt this is related but a year ago the metal disc inside where the heating element comes out of the bottom half separated from the body, I used steel epoxy to glue it back in place and it hasn't separated since, it even seems stronger than new.

Thanks

Possibly try adjusting the heating element?
(NOTE - DO THIS WITH A COLD UNIT)
If you remove the glass heater cover, you can gently pull on the heating element.

The heater has some letters/numbers on it, separated by a hyphen.

I believe the ideal heater position is when that hyphen is just showing.

There are pics in this thread (try searching heater + placement or adjustment or position...
