Wow... just my luck.. the day I receive my LSV... my homie is dry.

Well, I took some draws without herb (lol) and there is NO restriction at all!
I'm so used to the Solo's restrictive draw.... I dont see how the LSV is able to output such dense vapor.
It seems there is much more outside air flowing thru the wand.

Anyone care to break down the science behind vapor/air ratio in this device?

Yup. I came from the Purple Days to the LSV. The Purple Days is even more restrictive than the Solo and I have some advice for you. For the first couple times you use the LSV, cut your hit time by 75% of what you did with your Solo. If you don't, you will end up like me and have to pick up your eyeballs from the floor, which is kinda tricky being that they're down there looking back up at you. :o

The vapor is not only voluminous, but dense as well.

You are now....................forewarned.

The difference between the Solo and LSV is mostly related to the power available to them. There's simply no way a tiny battery could provide enough power to heat the air at the speed it can flow through in the LSV, the Solo's airflow is intentionally restricted to allow it to be slow enough to heat the air with the limited amount of power available.

The LSV on the other hand has access to AC power and therefor has more than enough power to heat air at much higher flow rates, so they don't need to restrict the air flow.

One tip: Don't forget the vapor density is inversely proportional to your draw speed. In other words, the faster you draw, the weaker the vapor, the slower you draw, the stronger the vapor. For this reason I recommend you start inhaling rapidly (to start with weaker vapor) and then slow down until the vapor is dense enough. If you start slow and then go fast you'll end up with a strong hit followed by weak vapor.

Ummm.............I don't do that. I start out at a medium draw and then speed things up when I pull the WPA to clear. With the wand, I found that what works best for me is to puff on it like a cigar rather than an even pull.

So basically... the LSV's heating is much hotter than the Solo's?
Does anyone know what temp it would be if the knob is at 12 o clock?

I've hit it like a cigar and got huge rips and I've hit it really fast and got decent rips too. I can't seem to find the best yet, still trying to experiment.

It's not that it's hotter, it's that it can withstand faster airflow without cooling down. Imagine heating a needle red hot and then blowing on it, it will stop glowing almost instantly, now imagine heating a 2 pound rod and blowing on it, it will remain red hot for longer because it has more energy.

I've actually found drawing quickly at first a bit preventative with regards to getting the denser vapor this thing can crank out.... IME the best thing to do when you're trying this thing out is draw slow enough to get vapor, and monitor your glass. In my case all I have currently is a no name stemless tube (12") which doesn't have much volume. As such, I would just get it to the point of being full of vapor and that's it. Once I got a better feel for how this thing handles I started getting into bigger hit land lol

Hooooooooooooly shit.

i'll be back for an edit here in a biiiiiit lol

edit:
ok I found some kief leftover and put it in the wpa's bowl and hit it thru my tube. WOW.. giant clouds. I took 3 hits and almost fell over so I decided to stop. This is insane... I give it a 10/10.

Thanks man.
Wow, I've never been as high as I was last night.
A full 12 min session with the Solo has never blown me away like the 3 hits I took from the LSV.
But it was my first time vape-bonging with my 16" tube, which is a lot of volume lol.
Aaaaand it was a bowl of high quality kief so that may explain that.

I need to pick up a bubbler with smaller volume, which I have been planning to do since forever.
I'll try to make a milk video soon for you guys!

I love how I only took 3 hits and was blown away. I'm guessing that bowl still has about 5-10 good hits left, it's still pretty green as you guys can see. This one single bowl might last me 2-3 days lol.. insane.

Is there any cheaper place than LifeSaberVaporizer.com for new wands and heater covers? Those 2 parts alone plus shipping would cost me $70 from their website!

Isn't there a cheaper option?

Thanks

Not really. You can post a WTB thread in the Classifieds and keep your fingers crossed or become friends with a glass blower. These are proprietary accessories by 7th Floor. I don't know if heater covers and transfer wands are even sold by any of the distributors. I've always purchased from the LSV website.

I'm sitting here looking at my LSV hanging on the wall and im thinking they should make a solid end cap so nothing can fall in there while im at work...I think this thing may get me a bit too high this early!!:D

Did anyone get stickers with their LSV? When I bought my Da Buddha I got a few with it, I really wish I had gotten some with my LSV so I could rep it.

There are stickers for the DBV
There are 5 generations of stickers for SSV
LSV does not have one yet, but your comment will remedy that.
Hang in there... one is coming!

What a guy!
So, tell me about this place, please. Is it mostly heady stuff like on their site? I am going be in the Wasatch next week and might stop in if it's "worth the trip".
To tell you the truth I've only had contact with them via email and phone. What I can tell you is from that they are really nice people. If I was in the area I'd definitely stop in. If you do let them know that you heard about them here, I'm hoping I can convince them to start contributing to the site like other artists are doing.

I made a video.
Sorry it's bad quality.
I have the iPhone 5 which is supposed to record in 1080.
I just dont know how to export it in HD. iMovie isnt doing it for me.

That's a 16" gridded shower head from Apix Designs btw.
