Speaking of which, these new inserts seem to be pretty boss. They have ZERO smell, and are for sure a lot more shock absorbent (based on feel and look). My only gripe is that I'm short 1 set... not that I mind the "old" silicone inserts at all.
Note: I took the pic AFTER I installed the new inserts. The ones shown are the old silicone versions. The newer ones are actually two different colors (rusty red on top and charcoal/black on bottom).
Just a correction... again... The old gaskets were NOT Silicone, they were Latex first... then Buna-N. The ones shown in your pic are Buna-N rubber.
@JyARz could you please tell us a little more about these new gaskets? What exactly are they made of and how are they made? The red colored silicone is normally what we see in industrial applications and isn't always "food grade". Whatever they are, I'm really looking forward to having a scent free seal. Thanks again Aldo for working on this.
I'd really like to see them, could someone please post a picture of the new gaskets? TIA

The new material is pure HCR silicone, Fumed silica (filler), iron oxide (pigment), and peroxide (the cross linking catalyst). The material has been subjected to an extended post cure cycles to ensure its clean and safe.
This silicone rubber was selected as a premium material due to its inertness and bio compatibility. Although there is no food rating on this particular silicone, it was chosen for its durability and because it doesn't contain any plasticizers, hydrocarbons, BPA, or volatiles.

I see that Dow Corning offers some HCR silicone with a note near the middle stating that they have a "food contact option" available. Is that what you mean by "bio compatibility" ? I see on another site that a ton of the 'peroxidic' options they offer are listed as being "food contact" marked. Interesting stuff.
@Enchantre I didn't see the contest till the winners were getting announced I don't think, and I wouldn't have been able to post pics of my vape on IG anyways because I've got some fam and friends on there that don't need to know everything about me. Good looks for hooking everyone up @JyARz!!

Just click on the "Home" button in InstaGram. Click it twice to load to the "top page." Then look for a "inbox" or "tray" icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Click on that and send us a photo then include your address information there. I'm insisting on receiving information that way so we can keep track of the mailings and valid entries. WE have a lot going on right now so it's all about keeping track.

How much herb in actual bud form are you guys able to fit in the Satchmo? I'm dying to get my hands on a few, hoping I can spare the cash soon but it's all been needed for my meds

Definitely! I like that the glass slips out more easily too.
Yup, the new shock absorber isn't sticky so the glass can be removed without the shock absorber sticking to it.

Wait..your brand new Satchmo has a crack in the glass? Can you please send a photo? That glass is super rock solid so i'm very surprised. Did it fall unprotected or something like that?
