I just wanted to say thank you to Aldo for helping me so quickly! He already has a replacement glass insert shipped out to me, no charge! Great service.

Happy to help. That's literally the very first Satchmo glass insert that I've seen that's cracked and I've handled hundreds...maybe even a thousand of them to date. But it is what it is, so we're sending you a new one free of charge.

Got some new JyARz in the mail this week. I now have the full range of sizes and am very happy with them all. I also want to give a shout out to Aldo for super responsive customer service. Aldo responded to my email inquiry in less than an hour when I was checking on shipment (the post office was just extra slow in delivery).

Tragedy has struck 3 of my Jyarz and for the life of me I can't figure out how it happened. I came home to find they were put in my man cave room closed. I opened one up and the glass inside was cracked throughout. I opened another one and the same thing. My third one was shattered inside as well.
I asked my wifey and she said our 2 year old grabbed then off the counter and she caught him playing with them but as far as she knew he never got then open. It would be too hard for him to get it off and it would have made a mess I would have noticed.
These things are rock solid and I never had a problem. I think someone even drove over there Jyarz and it survived. This is a mystery I don't think I'll figure out.
Next time there is a jyarz sale I'll have to order some replacement inserts. Luckily I have plenty of jyarz to hold me over and I got in on the massdrop.

It's amazing what kids can do . Every since I got my first Jyarz , I have been trying to sell my friends on them . I can't count how many times I have dropped , even thrown them on hard floors and concrete to show how tough they are and have still yet to have one crack or break .your kid is like a little He-Man or Hulk or something .

For those that own a Jyarz container, are these essentially the be-all-end-all of herb containment?
Want to get something that will last the long run and do it's job efficiently. No smell or sunlight can enter or leave the contamination zone!

X2 . Superb for smaller amounts. Waiting for delivery of their new bigger size but it appears to not be very large either. Larger than original but not really very large.

I can fit roughly 2.5-3x the amount in the larger units as I can the original. They are perfect if you have a quarter oz you want to stash without smashing or grinding, or for that one giant nug you didnt want to cut up (YMJMV).
In case you're wondering, that single nug weighs ~4g.

I reckon C-Vaults would be the go for larger amounts. Tough, lightproof and the seal is very good from what I hear. Haven't used them myself but have used the boveda humidipaks and they work a charm. Would be cool to have a larger Jyarz size yet, that had a space for a humidipak like the C-Vaults do. Not sure if it would be possible or even necessary though.

props to the Jyarz team.
I have been using my 2 black Jyarz while travelling through the NW of the U S and they have been invaluable for keeping my meds in tip top condition and most of all smell proof in my trunk luggage.
The supplied dispensary plastic tubs were allowing a lot of smell to leech through into my luggage and into my vehicle.I transferred all my meds to Jyarz and the dankest of smells was contained.
I then used Iso to clean my Jyarz for flights.the top sealing gasket needed quite some time in Iso to remove the smell which had sunk into it.
once cleaned.I transferred some of my sticky cherry tobacco into my Jyarz for air flight customs.(the one occassion tobacco is youre friend)
On arrival.......
It was wash ,fill ,vape, repeat

OK this is weird. I've seen some glass break due to hairline cracks in the glass (which is usually a single crack in the glass) but three shattered is a first that I'm aware of. Frankly, I'm at a loss. That said if they take a lot of repeated "abuse" the glass does eventually weaken and give way. And if they fall from a height over 4 feet and land flat on their side on concrete or stone the Classic inserts can break. I could have designed them to be 'bomb proof' but there's always a trade-off between functionality and price. I think we got that balance right but maybe someday we'll go with a bomb-proof design for parents with young children. As a parent I could have used one like that a few years ago!
