Happy Birthday dude
I have a JoDa "spoon" stem and a GonG for my Solo and I find the same thing because of the thicker glass. My solution was to let it "heat soak" a bit. There is more conduction than convection in the Solo. IMO.Couple questions for those who have bought JoDa pieces:
1) re the steamroller (for solo).... I'm not getting the same same thick vapor I've had with both stock and pvhes stems in comparison. I've moved the screen more towards the heater in the steamroller to allow the same distance but still not much vapor. I realize that the glass of the JoDa piece is obviously thicker, and the lip on the JoDa is of different design compared to traditional stems, but I 'am' getting decent draw/flow. Because of the thicker glass, and the way it steps away from the inserted sides of the glass, conduction will be reduced.. so I upped the temp by 1 and 2 to see if it would produce better at convection, but it does not compare YET.
Those of you who have this piece and use it in their Solo... do you have any tricks or suggestions to get thick vapor ? To note, I slow draw at level 2 heat normally and allow 2 cycles of warming before draw (I'm a flavor snob with tender bronchs).
2) re the Honey Bucket.... Is there anything to know (procedures or otherwise) with regards to heating/dabbing boro ? I've only ever used Ti nails & skillets personally, and definitely don't want to jeopardize this piece by doing something stupid.
TIA
Lather, rinse, repeat! To use the bucket. Place it on the piece. Remove cap, flip up swing, heat swing (usually to a light glow or just before it glows), flip swing back down into bucket, let sit for a few seconds for a nice low temp dab, insert dab, replace cap.
Did anyone else notice how much the glass rig and drop down looked like it was moving around during the torch scene? TripppppppyyyyyyyNothing special but I was bored n u guys were talking about this so I made a quick video
Edit: you got it @smokum glad I could help. Enjoy those masterpieces
I've noticed that in quite a few videos popping up recently - I'm assuming its some kind of image stabilization software on a phone?Did anyone else notice how much the glass rig and drop down looked like it was moving around during the torch scene? Tripppppppyyyyyyy
Man your killing it! Can't wait for my pieces
Matching kraken drop down and bucket.
