Mine was broken and Oglesby won't replace/repair or offer to help. E.g. send out the tiny piece of Brass.
FYI my dealing with Oglesby have been terrible so far, my under warranty product is destined for the scrap head. I'd like to see the shit the unit with a few spare valves as a simple google illustrates this is common.
Sorry you're having problems, but I don't think it's realistic at all to expect them to ship you a loose valve. Why would they want to incur the liability? We live in a sue happy world, any lawyer worth his salt would advise against the risk I bet? There is an established policy for service, 'send it in', any deviation opens them up with no offsetting advantage.
It doesn't take much imagination to think of some pretty scary accidents that could happen if a couple grams of gas under pressure got loose at the wrong time due to a faulty installation of parts they provided.
Even aside from that, assuming you meant 'they ship the unil' not "the shit the uni", adding a few dollars to the cost of every unit 'just in case' is not the sort of expendable I'm willing to pay for.
Finding that valve might prove a chore since it's made in the UK, it's likely to be uncommon.
BTW, this probably belonged in the WISPR thread anyway? This thread is for a different product that doesn't seem to have this issue......
Good luck with it, but IMO you should reconsider sending it in?
