Iolite 2.0 review:
To be honest, I never was very interested in the Iolite just by its look and the fact that I've made bad experience with vaporizers that use butane to heat. For me, it doesn't really look like a serious device for aromatherapy (you should never judge a book by its cover!), also I've imagined it to be much larger and very unhandy. So I was very surprised when I've opened the box and found a very small and light device, that isn't much larger than a regular box of cigarettes.
After filling the gas tank with butane, the vaping could start. Btw. I'm using butane from the supermarket, because it's very hard to find the premium butane over here which is supposed to give you the best results.
Anyway the supermarket-gas works very well for me.
To start vaping you simply have to fill the herb chamber, turn on the device and light up the ignition spark. A orange light will start to glow. When the orange light turns off you can start inhaling, this happens when the max temperature of 190°C is reached.
Note: the heating time might vary, depening on the butane you use and on the lighter settings in your device. mine gets the job done already after 25sec. The manual says 45sec though!
Even if 190°C is not my prefered temperature setting, the Iolite does a very good job. When it cools down too much it will automatically start heating again for a second. The heating process is a bit loud and the whole devices gets very warm though.
The vapor quality is good. Definitely much better than the devices where you can't controll the temperature at all, but what I like most about it is that this mechanical device makes you completely independent from any power supply! So if you're spending a lot of time outdoors, this thing will never let you down, unless you haven't any extra gas with you, of course. I will take this on festivals and camping trips for sure!
This thing is definiteley a recommendation
