Once she started running around like a dipshit with Lynn Cheney talking about how she wants to build Trump's wall, her polling dropped from her highs over the Summer, making this "existential" election much closer than it should be. Honestly, I think the only thing clear about the polling is that the polling sucks. We have lost the skill of having reliable polls. A big part of that is because we no longer have landlines in everyone's home but it's also the inability to find truly independent polling. And a large majority of people are annoyed by being asked to respond to polls all the time, especially at crunch time. If only people who are willing or anxious to respond to polling are polled, the numbers start to break down.

This is what we've come to. This kind of racist speech has been normalized. They don't expect to be called on it. And when they are, they figure there's enough people on their side that they are not compelled to take it back, not that taking it back relieves any cost. We are at a point in American history where the plain ugly is backed by a belligerence that would imply complete confidence that the country is truly behind them.

Kamala has abundant support from women and various other groups, but by some accounts as much as 64% of white males are looking the other way. It's my understanding that 1-2 swing states potentially could refuse to submit electoral votes for Harris, technically that might be enough to throw the election, with no action or vote required from the house of representatives. Whoever gets the majority of certified electoral votes supposedly wins, even if they have less than 270.

I'm gonna vote early. They recently caught a gentleman with definite plans to light up an OKC polling station. Yikes!!
