My INH05 has broken
The conductors within the ribbon cable have snapped, not the polyimide ribbon, the conductors right along the fold that is made at the time of production. An obvious weakness which I pointed out to Greg in previous correspondence.
I contacted Pharmacor Technologies Inc. and to my surprise they refused to cover this problem under their warranty, eventually stating:-
b) defects caused by rough handling (including, without limitation, defects caused by sharp items, by prolonged exposure to the sun, by water damage, by BENDING, compressing or dropping, etc.)
I pointed out their Indiegogo campaign wording
"Battery swapping: Easily change your battery on the fly, never get caught unprepared"
I pointed to the battery swap instructional video on their website assuring them I had been as careful if not more than they were shown to be.
The response I got seemed to go against how they had portrayed the 'Interchangeable battery' in their promotion:-
"In conclusion "battery swap" is not recommended as you need to be very careful in doing the battery replacement (battery replacement should be done once every two tree years) As it takes lot more attention and dexterity than a simple swap of batteries which is possible only in an isolated battery access, you were putting too much repeated stress on the wiring (much more than what is sustainable and what the Inhalater was manufactured for) "
I believe their 'Interchangeable battery' advertising is misleading to customers, if somebody can point to where they state the battery is only to be removed every 2 to 3 years then please do?
When choosing which vape to spend over $300, on, being able to change batteries “On the fly” was one of the definite musts, now to be told all this and:-
"This warranty does not cover:
defects or damage caused by misuse of the Product, including use that is contrary to the instructions provided by Pharmacor Technologies"
How is following their instructional video “Contrary to the instructions…..” ????I personally think their 2 year warranty is well shady, it is more like an offer to get another 'upgraded' unit with a bit of discount :-
Hi,
I been told that in your case we already stood by our company's philosophy when it comes to customer satisfaction.
So why not Send both units...will send back one of the two in prefect working condition, of course with shipping back and forth as your sole responsibility...
Paul P.
Hello David
Torn cable is not repairable and not covered by the warranty.
We can get you a new units with a discount. What do you thinkÉ
Do you still have that spare running for you?
Greg
It's not torn it has a fracture, which could possibly have happened at the time of manufacture and has gotten worse with my 'ON THE FLY' battery changing. The cable is clearly not fit for purpose and Pharmacor under their own admission 'battery replacement should be done once every two tree years' are well aware of this. Perhaps this is why the 06 is being sold as non interchangeable battery. As for my 'spare running' it clicks off at setting 5. Hardly running.
Prior to this my other posts have been positive in what this unit has done for me. Nearly 8 months without tobacco. I sung the praises of my experience with their customer service when they replaced my first unit which developed the clicking off fault after one week of use and later when Edward Hyde was voicing his concerns about his warranty issues.
I now understand others frustrations with this company. I feel very let down. They know and have stated that 'shipping costs are a killer' so their offer of me sending both my broken units and them returning one good one at my cost and responsibility is a joke.
