I see what you're saying, and in all honesty my concerns re' plastic in the air path are minimal (otherwise I wouldn't have ordered one of these vapes!).
But since any vapour produced by the unit, will then be entering my bubbler, and then free to contact the exposed plastic end of the WTA before being breathed into my lungs, I consider a small part of it (the WTA) to be in the vapour path (as I understand the term).
Of course, material safety seems to be a hotly debated topic here on FC (I think, I'm new here) and I wouldn't presume to suggest that any design aspect of the INH05 is unsafe, I just intended to state that I'd prefer an all glass WTA/capsule design (especially at the cost involved in getting one from Inhalator).
I just like glass as a material better than plastic.
Of course, since ShayWhiteGrow has
very kindly sent me his spare WTA without charge (wouldn't even take shipping costs!) I'll be happily using that as it'll be saving me around
$60.
I've got glass stems coming too.
e-cig vapers happily vape VG/PG and flavourings directly off nichrome and cotton, along with other materials, so nothing in the INH05 really gives me cause for concern.
That being said, can anyone clarify whether the Polyimide around the heater wire isolates the nichrome from the vapour path?
Or is it just to conduct heat from the wire to the capsule?
I couldn't quite work this out from the INH website.
I'm very much looking forward to the arrival of my INH05, and ShayWhiteGrow's WTA, as I chose this vape based upon the good owner feedback re' use through water, which I like
I'll have to be patient though, as I got the INH from Massdrop, so It'll likely be the end of the month before it gets here
