Discontinued Indica Vaporizer

Session 1: Dark blue 6, green 4, purple 2, red 3.

Session 2: Dark blue 5, green 5, purple 3, red 2.

Session 3: Dark blue 9, green 3, purple 3, red 4.

Attempted 4th session: Dark blue 5*, red 2*

I decided to take my battery testing to a new level. Above are my detailed times my Indica was turned on (using a stopwatch), temperature color on, and a few asterisks that will be explained later.

I started with a fully charged Indica Noir and each session was approximately 0.3 - 0.4 grams of high grade flower. One spacer was used in every session. The Indica was cleaned between session 2 and 3 and was just cleaned before session 1, I don't use a screen.

The asterisks on the 4th session represent the fact that the unit was turned on but no vaporizing occured. I attempted for 5 minutes on dark blue then jumped all the way to red for two minutes and the chamber never got hot enough to cause any vaporization of a brand new pack, approximately 0.3 grams (I'll have to kill that after I charge).

So I vaporized for a total of 20 minutes on dark blue, 12 minutes on green, 8 on purple, and 9 on red. For a grand total of 49 minutes of vaping.

The battery still had power. Although even though the Indica would turn on, it would never get hot enough to be able to cause vaporization.

Does that seem to sound like the normal amount of time I should be getting? I can live with 49 minutes, especially since I plan on getting a good portable charger; but I thought I saw people on this thread say the battety lasted an hour to an hour and a half. Maybe it's because I don't use the cooler temps.

Yeah higher temps, and especially changing temps mid session, can decrease your battery life

I had my vaporizer for just over a month then it just won't heat up anymore. I read alot of people are having this problem too. I emailed the support several times but got no answer, that was 2 months ago and they won't pick up their phones. It just sucks flushing 200$ down the drain, it feels like i got scammed honestly. I loved the vaporizer the ~15 times i used it but the customer service is non-existant.

A clear explanation as to why so many units are still having the no heat issues (2 of mine did) and when it will be fixed would be great. This was supposed to have been addressed on the first units. For me I'll only use mine when on the go, as I don't think its fit to be used several times a day at high temps. Not yet a daily driver IMO.

@dantheman420 , Clearly your time table is indicating that your Indica does not meet the specification of the warranty. Given my warranty both written and specified here on FC, states that the Indica will cycle 6 consecutive sessions on red before fading out, and this unit does not quite meet these standards, please contact my Customer service, and we'll replace with a pretested unit. We actually never tested for temperature roll ups in the first 6 cycles but I feel responsible for committed charge cycles.

In the mean time, we hope your lawsuit against the contractor that built your house improperly, progressed to a better place and that the Indica Customer service and guarantee will help your cynicism to all manufacturers and contractors in general.

Clearly you haven't read the thread or you would not say that the customer service is non-existent. Instead, you would know that occasionally things go wrong and someone's problem slips through the cracks, but when Indica Vaporizer learns about it the problem is taken care of immediately.

You also haven't read the rules carefully, or perhaps you don't understand them. You are perfectly within the rules to post your complaint, but that does not give you the right to accuse anyone of scamming you. Your complaint must be polite and show respect, which you haven't. Since you are new I won't give you a warning point this time, but you've had your chance to post your issue and now you must not post about it again unless you have new information or a resolution. You should have already contacted Indica Vaporizer with a PM, but if you haven't then I advise you to do so.

Yeah it seemed like it wasn't lasting quite as long as I expected based on what other FC members have posted. I hate to return it though because it is absolutely flawless. My first Noir had light scratches on the black paint, this new one came in mint condition, and it works great; but alas the battery doesn't seem up to snuff.

The contractor that built my house has been served a letter to remedy the problem or be summoned to court and he hasn't even responded.

Also my first Noir that I returned to Springfield Missouri is still at the post office in Springfield waiting to be picked up or redelivered. It will automatically be shipped back to me if someone doesn't pick it up at the Springfield post office or call 1-800-ASK-USPS and schedule a redelivery before Christmas Eve. The tracking number to request a redelivery is 23051590000053410871.

I will call your customer care center and let them know about my replacement Noirs battery life and get an RMA. I really appreciate you taking your time to test this next Noir to make sure the battery is up to par before shipping it. Your customer service has gone over and beyond to make sure I am happy with my Noir. Thanks again. Your friend Dan.

Throughout this thread I have read mainly good things about customer service. There's been a few issues but most have been taken care of to the customer's satisfaction. You know shit happens every now and again. Nothing goes perfect 100% of the time.

I had the Indica out this evening loaded with some White Widow. Nice and toasty.:leaf::peace:

I'm sorry if it sounded harsh, I should've taken a moment before just venting my anger in a post. I never did say I got scammed, but when a poor student saves up for a vaporizer and it breaks after a month then can't get a contact with the company for over two months it makes you feel like you just bought bag of grounded oregano if you know what I mean.

Now I actually managed to get a hold of their customer service an hour after posting this and a very nice lady helped me through the whole return progress and I am very happy how she handled it!
Soon I can get back to vaporizing again my Indica!

Hello @Indica Vaporizer

Will international shipping be available any time soon?. I get this message:

"Your order cannot be completed at this time as there is no shipping methods available for it. Please make necessary changes in your shipping address."

Thank you

pickmita,
Got my noir in today and WOW. This thing is gorgeous, and so stealthy. Just got my first bowl packed and I'm giving it a go, but I can already say I am beyond happy with my purchase. The ONLY thing I would change on it would be to place an external, discrete, LED indicator that flashes the same as the button inside. That way I could put the lid on and actually be able to tell when its ready to go, rather than always having to open it to see. Just like a thin line of a window on the narrow edge of the device, opposite of the hinge. That would make it, in my opinion, the perfect portable haha.

Also wanted to ask, should I use the screens or not? I remember reading something about them in this thread, but just kind of want a solid answer haha.

I've been spending time with my warehouse IT freight personnel coordinating the overseas shipment module. It looks by next week, I hope they will have this international freight glitch cleared on the shopping cart front end. Additionally, for all of you in Canada, I'm tryin to have your shipments mailed out via USPS to reduce Duty fees. It taken a lot longer than I thought it should. For those waiting on the other sides of our boarders, my apologies.

Well, shoot. I just got my noir that I ordered on the website on friday, and I just turned it on now and it seems that it wont heat anymore. I can turn the LED's on and everything, but it just will not heat up. Im charging it now to see if that fixes anything, otherwise thats a bummer... looks like I'll be having to file a warranty claim if it doesn't correct itself. Haven't even registered the warranty yet because the "register warranty" section of the website isn't coming up on my computer.

Just a bit frustrating, really the driving motive behind getting this vape for me, was for a ski trip at the beginning of January. Now it doesnt look like I'll be able to use it for that. Unfortunate.

That sucks! There has been several other reports of this, but not many so far. They will certainly replace the unit for you without any problems. (If not, send a PM to @Indica Vaporizer - He'll take care of you ASAP)

Lesson I learned one month after fucking combustion and my Davinci Ascent died - it's always best to have a second (different) vape as a backup. It seems portable electronic vapes tend to have more failures than butane powered. But that probably won't help if you're at high elevations.

I never use a screen either. I use a medium pack and one spacer and a medium to a fine grind. The one spacer seems to be perfect like @Ratchett said. The deep blue color seems to be my fav temp. the lower temps are the best with the Indica. The upper temps are too much for me. There does not seem to be much of a learning curve involved with using this portable.

It is a very beautiful unit with a sturdy build using premium materials. With the Ratchett tool it's very easy to load. Get the @Ratchett tool. The vapor taste doesn't degrade like some vaporizers that burns your material.
From the beginning of your session until the end the Indica delivers superb flavor.

No more having to be tethered to a cord and you can charge and use the Indica at the same time. This unit is very easy to clean. Also an unrestricted airflow which is very important for some.

This vape is discreet with the black stainless steal. While walking i can close the lid and the smell is at a minimal. Best of all it does a good job of delivering your meds and it's fun to use.

Its always good to have more than one vaporizer and buy from an authorized vendor. I can't stress that enough.
Vape on friends.

Is the indica 2,0 conduction or convection ?does it have a battery I know it's not butane power . Are there any videos with it going through water/glass
And where is the cheapest place to get it from ? Thanks

It's mainly conduction based, with a very very mild amount of convection through the air flowing in from the oven door through the load. Yes it's a battery powered device, the PCB heater conducts heat around 4 walls of the load if I'm not mistaken, which helps better cook the load evenly.

Sadly I don't have any videos of my Indica Waterpipe Adapter + glass, but I can tell you that I can easily milk my PNWT on the purple or red settings (level 4 & 5)

Maybe someone else can get a milkshot of the Indica with some glass.

It's not the best vape for using with glass due to the restricted airpath, but it is possible, and the results are quite impressive at higher temperatures

At lower temperatures the flavor is certainly not as aromatic. When doing a head to head comparison (same load size, same strain, optimal packing) with my Davinci Ascent and the Indica Vaporizer. I found that with the two lowest settings, the Indica produced a more "Roasted" Flavor compared to the Ascent (which produces some of the best tasting vapor of any vape I own).

The roasted flavor wasn't negative, but it wasn't the BEST of all my vapes. My nano certainly doesn't impart the same roasted flavor. But then again, most conduction based vapes have a roasted flavor caused by the method of heating

Note, once I bumped up the temperature on both vapes, to higher temperatures (level 3, 4, and 5), the flavor profile between the two vapes was the same.
