@mephisto. When were they released? I've been checking this forum, my email (I added my name to list for first batch), the indica website, indica store and indica FB and Twitter pages several times a day for the past 3-4 weeks and haven't noticed the store live (except for the initial day of Feb 3rd). Nevermind, can see your post above :).

@Indica Vaporizer. Are you able to please provide an update? Reason being is I need a portable in time for March 29th, and if I have to buy one from the US (which will be the case as it is either this or a PAX I will buy), I really need to be doing it within the next week or so otherwise I can't guarantee myself delivery for the 29th.

I apologize for the long silence. Let me say that we are targeting the end of next week at this time but do not wish to announce formally as of yet to duplicate last months false start. Once we confirm full integration, then we’ll roll out the marching bands and full fire works displays. Yes it looks imminent.

No production units have been released to the market. The first of the production series will only be available at the time of launch. Once we are up and running, all units purchased should be registered online. This will help with your Indica’s history in order for our customer service software to record ownership and assist tracking any customer service calls to our center related to product questions or issues.

We’ve worked hard this past month to make sure this last piece is in place. Once again sorry for the delay and as I stated before this is a soft commitment for the date specified above.

Thank you for the update :) i hope that i can make it till march now.... the money i set aside for this is now dwindling away to the point i will not have it soon. i am trying to put back the money i use but with 3 kids that get sick, needs shoes, have ceremonies to pay for, etc. its getting harder and harder to recover the money. i may be sitting on the sidelines watching you fellow FC'ers enjoying this instead of enjoying it myself :(

So how long has it been? 4 weeks and a functional purchase platform cannot be found? My Indica does not hold a charge for more than 1 and a half session. According to the "President" this constitutes a warranty exchange. Hold on, my unit does not qualify because its a "black market" unit obtained directly from the "President" of Indica. So, I have been given the option to exchange my poorly functioning unit for another poorly functioning unit. Not one of the "better performing" production models as described by the aforementioned individual. In my opinion, this vape failed miserably to attain 6 charge cycles. Lets concoct a cover story about purchasing issues while we scramble and try to find a suitable battery that will do 6 cycles.
While I really appreciate the generosity extended to swap my poorly performing unit for another poorly performing unit, why am I not entitled to a unit that performs to the standards as put forth by the great folks at Indica??? Now I am sure there will shortly be a rebuttal to my diatribe about how this and that, blah, blah, bullshit. It really does not matter to me at this point. I think its only fair to the rest of the members of this forum to be able to see behind the curtain and decide for themselves if they want to support a company that will potentially lie to your face as they pocket your cash.

I have owned over 30 vapes and received incredible support from each manufacturer until this point.
Good luck to those of you waiting for the "store" to open.

My Indica model 000111 sadly did not survive the 5 pound sledgehammer test, go figure....

The fact that you have a unit that is not yet available means this situation is already unusual. Your emotional characterization of the manufacturer does not coincide with my months of interactions with him, but if there is something to be outed I am all for it. More facts and less attitude for the moment, please...unless you have a resolution to report.

i am very confused. you say you got a poor unit and were offered an exchange but you feel you will get another poor unit. it sounds like you are saying all units are poor. what about the other FC testers here who have said nothing is wrong with their units? they have said it works well and even gave it the go ahead with their recommendations. are they now lying about their units? dont you think its possibe you got a unit that just went bad? you say yours came directly from the president... didn't you buy yours off the classifieds from another FC member?

i know this post may seem argumentative but i can assure you @mephisto i am not trying to be. you know i have been waiting for this release very eagerly and i really want to make sure i have "all my ducks in order" when the time comes. other testers have said their are fine.... i hope they will all chime in and update... maybe theirs are going bad too.

Agreed, @mmenzie. If that's the case then mephisto is way out of line here. Best I can tell from his posts here is he got a pre-production unit from someone who wasn't supposed to be selling it. He liked it but then it malfunctioned. So he returned it to the manufacturer who wanted to see what is going wrong with the unit and was told they can replace it. But he wants a different one? If I am right, this is one of the dumbest customer (but you can't even call him that in this case) complaints I have ever heard. Please tell me I'm wrong, @mephisto , and that you're not trying to get a replacement unit for an unreleased product from someone you never gave a dime to.

i don't think it's a secret that previous models failed in many ways, that's why the indica isn't out yet! And while other manufactures would now release version x.y to the market, they have probably sold not a single unit yet (in so many years in the business). this manufacturer really can't have bad intentions imho and that's exactly why the indica is so interesting.
@mephisto you know, most companys won't honor the warranty if you're the second owner already, or if you haven't bought it from their own webshop...!
they have offered you to replace exactly the same model you have right now. That's extremly fair imho and if the battery dies as quick again, you still can try to replace it again.
I don't see the problem, better be angry at the guy who sold you his beta model in the first place

He bought the unit from me. It was a production unit (or so I was told by the president). When it broke down he wanted it replaced, they told him the best they could do is replace it with another unit but it would be the same as the one he already has. (Which was supposed to be a production unit but, apparently no longer is). I never would have sold the unit had I not been told it was from the production run. (I will post a pic of the email from the president stating that it's a production unit if need be). Mephisto is in the right here. I didn't sell it until they were about to launch. Then came the sudden delay. I just thought I was helping someone get their hands on something a few days early. I will make it right by mephisto.

For clarification, we have completed the shopping cart correction yesterday and are finalizing our customer service portion merge through the next week, but hope to have this completed shortly. Our Merchant Bank will audit the site within the next several days. At that time, we should get approval to turn on the shopping cart.

Now regarding production mentioned above , Assembly has been on and off with since late January. We did find that there was some Battery problems with the early units off the line, which luckily allowed us to correct this issue before sales began. Unfortunately, some of those units did make it to individuals before we discovered the problem. Luckily, with their input, we have been able to correct and improve upon the Indica’s quality.

I’ve been in touch with nearly each person on a one to one basis that received product before we go to market. These individuals that has been helpful and in this loop have been told that if there is a problem that they should report a issue, as soon as that new knowledge is received, we address the concern and offer a replacement Unit.

Clearly , this was one of those failed units. I did offer Mephisto, the opportunity of a discount on a new unit at the time of product release, and thought that to be extremely fair.

If there has been any other’s that have received pre release Indica that had issues and feel I have not discussed with them candidly the ongoing changes or corrections or have addressed the problem. Please pipe in.

It’s coincidental that the timing of the of the Merchant account, hold up and the first 150 pieces off the assembly line units indicating a correction was needed actually occurred 10 days after one another. If the merchant account had been live Feb first, perhaps some poor product would have made it into the system. Strangely karma has intervened which allowed us to find and correct in the midst of the production run.

I have to say I'm surprised to see this rant. I would have thought you'd done your homework a little better.

You do not have a production unit.* You have an earlier beta unit that never worked effectively. I'll have to look back to see which phase of the beta it was from and why that version was not acceptable, but bottom line is that it was never likely to satisfy you and @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd shouldn't have sold it to you. If you have a beef, take it up with him not @Indica Vaporizer.

It's grossly unfair that you criticize him based on a unit that was sent out for testing, proved inadequate, and subsequently used to improve the production model. Not only are you making IV look bad unfairly, you are slighting the whole beta testing team. The Indica is a rare design that did not do well in its early versions, but unlike some manufacturers IV took the input from his testers and improved the design. It went through four cycles before we (all the beta testers) agreed that it was ready for release. Your post basically implies that we all were either incompetent to judge or just bullshitting (your term).

I feel insulted and I'll bet I'm not the only one. Frankly, you should consider yourself lucky that you haven't got a warning point for bashing.

*Edit: Hmm, IV has posted a slightly different origin for your model. Nevertheless, I stand by my post. You're out of line.

thank you for clearing this up. i really do appreciate your presence here and your quick to answer/reply. i fully expect this to continue and that you will have fully trained customer service agents in place to continue to make your company be one of the standouts here on FC. I will be eagerly awaiting the next move

As a person with my order sitting in a inoperative shopping cart for a month I'm disappointed that I still don't have this in my hands yet but I'm encouraged by the response from @Indica Vaporizer here. It appears they are using this downtime to ensure the product we receive will be the best possible.

And so I am still waiting patiently.....

They look different because they are artistic renditions... that utilize light/shadow to complete the closeup detail.
They all are the same vape though!

Would like to float a couple comments with all due respect to indica company. I intend to purchase a unit if /when it has user replaceable battery. A smooth product launch is critical for a new product. Im sorry but the "shopping cart" issue has worn thin. Could you not start selling them on ebay with their shopping cart system. Tons of companies do this with vapes. Ive also wondered if maybe zippo had an issue with the "likeness"of the product. Im not an expert on likeness and trademarks and it ismerely a curious thought. No disrespect intended im sure it is very difficult to start up a company,however wouldnt you want some cash flow and sales in interim through a third party shopping cart.
