I figured that was the case.

I shelved that and in the meantime I will be impless until my new box mod arrives.

Grabbed a Wismec Presa 100w TC. Works with AF/S_ME and Tubo FW.

I should be fine. I CAN use the imp in wattage mode on the v5 but fuck 10 second draws per click.

Would someone please point out a site selling Witchers for US buyers, or any SBS mods
That will take 25.4mm?

My Wismec is yanking my chain

Little expensive, and currently a waitlist while the manufacturer produces them...

With some hunting maybe you can find a used one... I got mine (an older, used one) over the weekend and am very happy with it. Now if only I had my Imp... :spliff:

you can use Arctic Fox software with 15s sec draw per click, abit better

So I have a VooPoo Drag that I use for concentrates with great success so I decided to throw the Imp on there too. I normally use an eVic Dual that reads about .237~ when I put it on the VooPoo it was reading .212. When I set the TCR and the power according I wasn’t really getting vapor at the cold ohms reading on the VooPoo. I then increased it to the eVic’s reading and it was much too hot.

So what is going on here that seems like an awful big difference in resistance? I thought the Gene chip was more accurate then the Joyetech chips but maybe I’m wrong? It’s not really an issue since I have the eVic just puzzling.

It could just be a looser 510 connection on that mod. You could try putting the SMALLEST pinch of an aluminum foil ball perfectly centered on the inside of the mod's 510 connector and see if that improves the connection or changes the resistance. In lieu of that, try adjusting the TCR value to compensate for the drop in ohms. According to the formula I've worked out on the Evic, I'd suggest trying a TCR value of 245 if the ohms remain at .212. I could be way off, so keep a close eye on it as you test fire. But that would be proper compensation on an Evic in my experience. Every mod is so different, though.

Yeah I've got 3 Evics and none run the same deck at the same settings. Mods definitely don't seem to operate the same amongst each other. Even same brand, firmware seems to also change responsiveness.

Hi

I just bought a Lost Vape Paranormal
DNA 250C and want to use it with my Imp.

Can someone suggest starting settings so I can try this out? Thank you.

Seems to be a need for a DNA profile for the Imp. I've got mine working great on DNA200 so I'll upload my setup in a little bit here when I get a chance.

I broke my favorite OTG tapered glass stem today so I experimented with cooling beads in a custom wooden shorty I had ordered from Dave. It's way too harsh without them but the difference even just 1 or 2 beads make is striking.

Along with the new Pico 25 that arrived today (now running AF), I think I have a new OTG rig:

Ok, I know don't double post and all that, but I feel this info will get lost if I edit it into the previous post...

https://gofile.io/?c=g1J7Du

This is my DNA profile tailored for the Imp. It has 3 TCR profiles... low, stock, high... for profiles 1,2,3. These represent how much "push" the heater gives at the expense of some battery consumption and efficiency. Those 3 profiles then repeat again for 4,5,6. Profiles 7 and 8 are low wattage and high wattage, respectively.

The TCR profiles use locked ohms assuming a stock reading of .222 ohms. If yours is different (and it likely is, my 2 decks vary by .02), adjust the locked ohms for all the TCR profiles by the difference. Same offset for all. I wouldn't adjust the TCR numbers, though.

I've tested it here a bunch with both my Imp decks and both body/stem styles and every profile is working reliably as indicated. No glowing on any profile until at least 445°. Let me know if you run into any troubles with it.

Blood wood, purple heart and bocote wood dosing stems. I've been getting great results.

Took this up to 425f
I tried to empty it to show top to bottom extraction. Even the part furthest from the heater is extracted nicely

Hi

Thank you very much for sharing these details. I setup the Paranormal with the IMP this morning. I used the Atomizer Analyzer and found a sweet spot where the ohms were constant at 0.212. I haven't changed the settings. I did a few test fires and the coil heat up without red hot glowing. After work I'll give it a shot. Still learning my way around the Paranormal DNA250C. Such a sweet mod and the imp looks outstanding.

Any other suggestions for getting the most out of this setup is appreciated. I guess now it's a bit of experimentation. Again, thanks for the help.

I suggest you using TCR mode for the IMP on DNA
TCR 120
Max 35W
Starting from 190 C

imo, TCR is better because it's harder to combust this way, easier to adjust

Those dosing capsules look top notch! Makes an already portable vape that much more convenient.

Works over and it’s time to have a try. Wow what a great setup. The first pull was really warm. I turned down the temp and watts a bit and it was simply great. I’m sure I’ll be able to find better settings but already it’s amazing. I’ll record the way it’s setup and slowly adjust to see that affects performance.

Thank you for all the support!! That rocks.

When I setup the Paranormal do you know whether I should "lock" the ohms for the Imp?
