I never smoked anything (other than once or twice, like at a hookah bar or whatever) other than MJ, so the transition was very easy for me. ALthough I went about it in a different manner. I went from smoking herb to only vaping oil. After a few months of that I got a flower vape and never bothered looking at combusting flowers again. I found that with how my tolerance ramps up, using only oils can quickly become an expensive habit.

Curious. I'm on the path you've already walked.

I started vaping using oils and have found they are too weak. A sign of my growing tolerance.

I am now looking for a flower vape and the flowermate looks like a good starter at 75 dollars or a used Solo for 130. I plan to work my way up to a Nano although if I had the coin to drop on an Herbalizer I wouldn't say no.

Is dabbing at low temps still considered combusting? I guess it's not considered TRUE vaping.

Ok so i miss combusting after switching to vapes for a few weeks solid vaping. Then i smoke all day every day and my mind feels less strong and i cough up stuff. The solution for me? Wake to a vape then vape again roughly every couple of hours thereafter until the one and only combust of the day in joint form around about midnight or thereabouts. YMMV.

edit: it's expensive the vaping in the day bit but it helps me not be such a miserable cnut.

one joint a night love it not as addictive and appreciate it more. and if you imagine the ganjover afterwards is like falling to earth from the sky well then a blast on the vapo in the morning is like a "thrust" to soften the blow.

I got my Pax 2 years ago, but have still smoked cigs up to about 6 weeks ago, now I vape my nicotine too. Since fucking combustion completely I really have no desire to combust. I can taste and smell things now!

Solod out.
To anyone still smoking cigarettes.. quitting is a lot easier than you think. Once I started vaping nicotine I just grew sick of cigarettes. I literally couldn't stand being in a room with two of three people smoking at the same time. Crazy change from inhaling that shit to avoiding even smelling it within like a month.

I used to smoke pretty much every day and never really felt in on my lungs. I got a Solo last year and have now almost completely switched to vaping. Smoking feels so dirty and harsh compared to vapor I just can't stand it anymore. At first I thought vaping didn't get me as high but now I think it's more efficient and stronger and way tastier. So yeah fuck combustion!

I'm still transitioning. I had a Solo and a Volcano two years ago and sold both to get a new bong and an oil rig. I'd say 3/4 of my consumption are dabs. My roommate still combusts so I smoke a lot of bowls with him. I purchased an e-nano and have barely used it.. But I need a gong attachment that will work correctly first.

I'm with you almost all of my friends combust so I end up combusting quite a bit. I almost always vape at home though.

Everyone I know combusts too, but I just look down on it now. They know I get higher off vaping than they ever will combusting. Even when I have high tolerance I get blazed off 0.2g's vaped in my EQ or Firefly.
They pack 0.5G cones in their fancy bong and are never satisfied, or they 'get high' but wind up coughing their guts up in the sink and emitting a smell that is reminiscent of burnt hair and human shit.

Almost there...
I would say i am 99% switched over to vaping!
The one percent is for the odd Christmas party where a joint is passed around...
And maybe twice a year with a friend of mine.

Can't really stand the taste or smell of the smoke anymore.
Although there are exceptions to that rule as well, some herb smokes like a dream...LOL!

The closest combustion i have is heating up my Ti nail!!

I switched about 2 years ago now. I've only combusted by accident since then. Yes I do e CIG,but only at work. So far only converted 1 person but he jumped in ball deep and got a 'cano.Hehe. forgot to say I'm a long term recreational user and used to scoff at ex smokers. I saw the light.

Almost there .... my guilty pleasure is the occasional one-hitter off the bong of ABV just before going to sleep. Don't remember which thread I read it in but someone mentioned that ABV is great for a nightcap of sorts. I blame the person who posted that for my inability to completely disengage  ... I also blame the 'What do you like to eat when vaped thread' for the new pants I'm in need of....

To each their own, but a bong hit of ABV??? Does that not taste like dog shit?

I find it smoother tasting than hitting a bong with straight up weed - closer to tobacco out of a hookah

I switched to e-cigs from tobacco about a month ago. I was just feeling shit lately from 20 years of cigs and joints. I'm puffing on it constantly which I'm sure isn't good but at least I'm tobacco free. I'm determined to kick the tobacco. If I don't I will probably die in about 10 years. I think with alcohol I will succumb though, so I am avoiding that, which is easy for me. But no cigarettes for a whole month! And I really feel like I can keep this up. But kicking my nicotine habit altogether... that is going to be real hard. One step at a time though!

I switched to vaping flowers about a week after the e-cigs. I've been about 3 weeks combustion free now. My lungs are clearing and I do feel 100x times better. My body is adjusting though, I've put on a bit of weight, and I'm finding I'm not sleeping as much. I vape a lot at night (e-cigs too) so I drink a lot of water, then I have to get up in the night to piss. I feel more alert though, and I want to stay up all night. Fuck combustion though. In the arse. With a cactus. You ain't killing me yet you cunt.

I've struggled to keep my weight down after fucking combustion. Getting my taste buds back has been a curse and a blessing.

Alan - When I succeeded in quitting cigs for good, I did it similarly to how you are, by using e-cigs as a substitute. I noticed that my MJ use went up because I was compensating for the habit and the lack of combustion...even with the e-cigs in play the usual triggers would result in double duty....like eat, then do the e-cig and then do the MJ. At other times I would do the MJ because the e-cig just wasn't quite enough of a substitute and I needed something 'more'. One other thing I noticed was that the e-cig use was actually supplying the same or more nicotine and I allowed that since I was getting the cig/nicotine monkey off my back by prying off one little mental or physical monkey finger at a time. The other thing I noticed was that, like most folks giving up cigs, I was also leaning on food as a crutch more...and not just because I was putting down the cigs but also because I was picking up the MJ more. I added some easy cardio to my day to battle the bulge and the cardio added another dimension of feeling better that it also made putting down the cigs/nicotine easier. The cardio kept me busier so I wouldn't get bored and eat or crave what was missing so much. I actually began to lose weight. Not many who give up cigs can say they actually lost weight in the process.

Everyone has to find their own way when putting down the cigs.....I heard somewhere that '2 weeks makes a habit' and it looks like you're well on your way....I wish you all the luck in the world.

I'm 99.9% combustion-free

Sometimes I will take a green hit if offered when I am low on supply,
just to stay familiar with the other side of the high life.
I'm not missing anything:puke:

If I could find a portable that actually met my on the go needs for flowers, I would not combust at all anymore! At home with a sub there is just no excuse to combust anymore!
