I really do wish my SCS experience went well.

While it was here, it certainly looked great, the jumbo SCS is just a bit larger in both height and diameter than the large Space Case, looked just that bit more substantial/chunky, and the matte black finish was cool.

Not sure the matte finish is as practical as a smooth/shiny finish where two metal surfaces slide/rub against each other, in something like a grinder. I like the titanium nitride coating, or whatever the titanium finish is, on the titanium Space Case, seems very smooth and shiny, and hard, so seems like there is less friction to cause wear over time.

If you decide on the gr8tr 4 piece, I highly recommend the storage puck as well.
With its modular design, the storage puck adds to the different possibilities of configurations. It also turns it into the vape gr8tr 3 piece.

Well, it looks like the SCS is not for me....same reason as all my other "non-crank" grinders over the past decade, they give me tendonitis due to the twisting motion. So i'm back to my "Sharpstone Zeus Vortex" 2.5" 4 piece crank....if I grind upside down I can get a nice grind, and take out the pollen screen and I have a nice 3 piece. I don't think they are worth the $60 that TorontoVaporizer charges for them, but for a $20 upgrade to a grinder, they are well worth it. I was thinking of actually picking up a Sharpstone brand crank, but i'm pretty sure they are identical (same factory).

So what are some of the better quality cranks? Kannastor? Do they still even make them since I don't see it on their site. I'd kill for a Crank Vape Gr8tr!

So Zeus is Sharpstone? I've been wondering about Zeus grinders for a while, considering those Toronto guys always plug them in their videos, which are great videos.

If not for their top 3 tabletop vapes video, there's a good chance I never would've bought my Aromed. I watched that video because I had narrowed down my choices to the Volcano and the EQ (for my first vaporizer), which were both featured in that video. But that guy just loved the Aromed. And his opinion matters to me, because their videos are great. However, he obviously pushes the Zeus grinder pretty hard, which I assume is because they have some kind of arrangement with the makers of that grinder. Which I find kind of annoying.

Yes the storage puck is an accessory.

The solid body and jar body are the same except for the glass in the jar body.

The storage puck has a different bottom than the kief catcher bottom on the jar or solid body gr8tr's. It's deeper and more like a SCS 3-piece bottom (scoopable). The top on the puck is not as deep as the gr8tr top either, as there is extra depth to store an extra grater plate, and extra screen in gr8tr lid.

The gr8tr line and storage pucks diameter and threading are the same, so all pieces are interchangeable. If you want to catch your pollen, but still want the convenience of a 3-piece for portability pick up the storage puck too.

I also like being able to swap out the grinder plates for a more course grind for my combustion buddies, and the couser grind also works better for my solo.

It's kind of given me options that I never knew a grinder had.

That's what i've been told...same factory...and by comparing the two, they look absolutely identical to the details.

I've been using a crank grinder for 6 months (and coffee grinder before that) because of issues I was having with regular grinders. It literally only took a few days for the flareup to occur so it's back to the crank!

I'll soon have a Herbalaire so I can put the entire grinding thing behind me...Solo works great unground as well.

I still love mine though, it never fails to tear up the scene . . . . in fact we were doing just that a little earlier today when we thought we'd pause for a moment and take in our surroundings . . .

Mine is the 4pc (my particuoar model allowing through only the finest of kief) and I find that I can easily achieve varying consistencies with my herbs.

These grinders really do shred, and they do a great job of fluffing up your material with minimum effort.

Finer results can be achieved by using the Shredder upside down & increasing rotations.

Purple is definitely nice bud. I regularly drool over the SCS colours on display in my LHS. They're just grinders I tell myself . . . . I really only need one

I'm considering getting one. The ezvapes FC special isn't available. The one on that site seems to have a lot of storage. There's a smaller one of the Kannastor site just called the Vape gr8tr. I'm not sure what the difference is between the more expensive one at ezvapes and that one. But I wonder why the storage puck would be a good idea with the Kannastor GR8TR Grinder from ezvapes that seems to have lots of storage.

Thanks. Couldn't find that. I still don't know the difference between the one at ezvapes and the less expensive one but I'm off to ezvapes to get theirs. It will be the same price as the other one with the discount. My favorite grinder is still the 3 piece SCS. Will see how this compares.

I think they are rare dude.

I've never heard of any fake SCS's.

People try to copy designs but I've never seen 'em full on counterfeited.

I'm not saying that they DEFINITELY aren't out there, but I don't think that it would be particularly easy to achieve a convincing level of quality at a cheap enough cost price . . .




But I never say never . . .
