Discontinued Ghost MV1

OK, take a breath everyone, well, I guess, me! lol! Got a reply post from ghostops. Apparently, what I received was not the final mp assembly only an interim fix. So, don't know if this one comes apart or not as the plastic top piece seems to be sealed tightly to the heatsink without the black gasket bulging out. So when I find out if it is separable, I will post.

How will that be to clean, as compared to the current version that can be disassembled?

Hi! Any pics, please? Thanx!

Edit: bulging out of where?

No, all the parts look & function exactly the same, but do not separate, so, yes, the stem pulls out. The top plastic lid is no longer removable from the whole assembly. The gasket opening that surrounds the stem seems to allow the stem to slide in/out with no resistance.
Interesting. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours :D
I’ll post up pics tonight later when I get home of what I’m working with now. It’s everything you described except for the inability to take apart.

Ghost at CHAMPS was incredible. They made waves man. They basically brought their own Ghost experience center. Rooms on both sides to vape in. Really cool people running it.

They have new satin colors coming out which aren’t fingerprint magnets at all. They have additional surprises that will blow your minds. These guys have all been reading all these forums and have had their ears to the ground. This company is something else man.

So far, I like my pax 3 better! But, I am still playing with the Ghost. So far, it seems to be over hyped to me. I have only used it a couple of times and the heavens have not opened up and no trumpets playing the return of God.
To be fair the pax 3 and mv1 are just different beasts.

One's an easy to use session vape that is ultra portable but terribly inefficient at creating mostly popcorn flavored hits.

The other is a finicky cordless big cloud producing vape that is efficient and easy to clean, all the while producing a few tasty hits per crucible.

If I had to guess, I believe that the unit would overheat more quickly if you used any other material than silicone. This device might just not be for you.

It's more so...."this design" is not for me. But lot's of ways to engineer a MV1.2 or a MV2 differently.....correct?

Also, I do not want to discuss any safety.....because I have no idea here with the used silicone in the MV1. But my huge issue with it is that I tasted silicone and it was so overwhelming.

I don't have a problem with the silicone. It's a solid design, just bulky and ugly. My wife hates that its shiny and dislikes the sound. It feels nice in the hand though.

The design allows much cooler vapor than direct draws like pax or solo. It's easy to clean and requires no brushes or such to do so, just a soak. I dont find that the silicone needs to be cleaned at all. The taste is very good, certainly better than units without silicone. No draw resistance will keep me using this portable for a long time.

That said I used mv1 almost exclusively for a week, and then last night plugged in the Evo. Evo is no fuss, way bigger, better, hits every time and more of them per crucible/pack.

So the mv1 does have room for improvement, silicone or not. Not having a cord is nice though!

(It's the inefficient dynamic that causes the uneven ABV, before we get to other relevant topics)

Your MV1 gave you uneven AVB? Bummer. Mine works great! Is it “perfect”, whatever the fuck that means? Nope. But it’s pretty dang good. You should take the time to learn how to to make it better for yourself...

You don't have to take my word for it

Not my experience on taste. I have no need for sending smoke signals either. What I am most interested in is taste and effect✈️

I appreciate that this isn't even remotely the worst vape and you enjoy using it. It's hard not to enjoy using vapes, predominantly because of the cannabis.
However the easiest way for me to continue having my cannabis work best for myself is to keep using the devices I chose. Those devices don't require me to learn much if anything or preemptively prepare my material in any specific way, be that moisture content or grind size

Here's a pic of the recently updated MV1 heatsink assembly.

The glass mouthpiece slides in and out VERRRRY smoothly.
The heatsink assembly fits together tightly and doesn't leak like the older versions.

This is exactly the kind of exchange that leads to flame wars. Please stick to discussing the Ghost. If you can't be polite to each other, don't post, or take it to PMs. Thanks for your cooperation.

Id like to chime in and say that the mv1 does not always vape the material evenly. I don't notice a difference in taste or effect whether it's perfectly even or not. What's left after a session is negligible in a .01 size load.
