I'm back after having the unit for a few days and wanted to chime in again.
The glass mouthpiece is a nice change from my mighty and grasshopper but as it is glass you should be extremely careful. The scraping noise while being addressed is very annoying. I also wish it was not quite as easy to take the mp completely out but I imagine my comment would be that I wish it were easier to take the mp out if they did that. The gurgling which I found annoying in Buds initial video while I wondered why it made the sound is actually an indication that you have it in the proper fully open position. It's not annoying in person and I equate it to bubbler satisfaction. You do not feel anything it's just a sound. I ended up using oil residue to lubricate the stem which helped with smoothness but the scraping is still there.
The heatsink is pretty easy to figure out and if you don't put it together securely it may come apart as you extend the mp. Just putting a bit of pressure on it will easily prevent it from coming apart.
The latch to open the device has become much more user friendly while closing the device will probably always need more pressure as you are sealing it closed. The crucible I'm still at times fumbling to get it in. The activity you see in movies where scientist are studying a subject and they're trying to put the right shape in the hole. Id say 20% of the time I'm trying to put a square block in a triangle hole. In a week I hope to be at 5%.
The device functions once you get it are very easy. There is really only TWO functions with the vape.
1. Holding the button down for 2 seconds.
2. Clicking the button 3 times.
You can set the temp when the vape is on or off.
To view battery life #1
Turn the vape on #2
Turn the vape off #2
Change temp #1 then #1 (cycle to which temp you want Then leave it alone)
If the device was on then start your session. If the device was off then turn it on.
So I initially had some really dark specs that looked close if not combusted. That has not happened since I started using finer and even grounded material. When I heard coarse I think I went too coarse and it was too uneven and caused hot spots. Again I've not had a single issue since I just ground my material like normal and filled it to the top of the crucible.
The noise. I admit when
@ohmygodimsohigh Made the noise I laughed so hard as it was spot on. Well done sir. I will say it is noticeable with absolutely no background noise but out of over a dozen sessions I've only heard it two or three times. For me it's easily forgotten and hardly heard.
The device gets warm but not hot for my usage. Holding the device below the silver chamber and I feel no heat at all. My device has not overheated. I'll also note the device knows if the chamber is open or if the heat sink is not in place and the warning is similar to the overheat message. A device where the heatsink and door are not closed or sitting properly may cause this warning but I'm not completely certain.
Vapor quality is smooth and potent. I find temp 3 or 4 as my go to temp. The unit is extremely efficient as .1 goes as far if not further than .25 in the mighty.
While my hopper can produce bigger clouds I find the mv1 is satisfying in cloud production and obviously effect. The mighty is much easier to use but the mv1 is more efficient with smoother vapor.
Finally the service from ghost vapes is phenomenal. They have a huge presence on the vape life forum and take time to speak with their customers for feedback and Q&A sessions. I actually broke the bottom of my mouthpiece and they sent replacements right away for free. (My first glass mp vape cut me some slack).
My adapter for the mighty works and I did do a session through water. More to come on this.
Overall I'm enjoying this vape. Im still looking out for issues around reliability and how well the unit functions. There is a learning curve but I hope my experience helps your decision. Vape on.
