It doesn't seem to work for me, even once I punch in my postal code and zoom all the way out to show all of North America nothing pops up. There must be a minimum distance needed and I don't fall into. thanks anyways though! Ghost website "chat" set me up with all the authorized retailers in Canada. Here is the list:

I would question the old geezer (like many of us) that moves forward with vaping technology, but can't see the benefits of having a simple 'basic' smart communication device.Possibly a mistake to have an app that can do things that can 't be done hands-on - will probably annoy old geezer stoners (like me) who don't have (or want) smart phones...
It would seem possibly a mistake to expect technology from this decade to stay 2 decades behind, perhaps.
I say this with respect to my generation and above... we should not be 'proud' that we don't know how to use technology that is over 30 years old (computers).
I still remember coal shovels, and I had records that played at 78 rpm. Yet, I live in this decade and look forward to next decade and it's tech.

I'm no Luddite nor do readily accept being patronized about my technical chops from millennials (and I'm not talking about you here)
I do not mind a vape including a app....ONLY as long as all functions available through the app are available through the controls directly on the device.
I will not have a vape that requires me to have an app in order to access basic and essential functions.
Its my view of design and I'm sticking to it.

I guess I should have said "all" functions. That is, if the function is available on the app, then it must be available directly on the device also.
Just my view....not trying to convince anybody else. :-)

FF2 had this problem. But they made app functions available on the device after some deserved complaining...

It doesn't make much sense from a company stand point either. Why would you want to limit your potential customers to smart phone owners only? Or make them go buy an expensive 3rd party device. What if apple/google decide to no longer accept/support vaporizer company apps for some crazy ass reason?
And most of all, IMO, why would you want to rely on 2 different devices just to use one? Twice as much to go wrong and you have to keep an eye on 2 different batteries levels. Unnecessary.
I'm pretty sure the crafty has a couple of features that can only be used via app, not positive though.
I haven't used the app much for the ghost.. actually, come to think of it, I haven't used it at all with the stealth.

The Crafty app does let you modify the set temp and boost temp, as well as display the hours of usage. I'm ok with that since I don't usually change temps temps on it, but the app is a handy feature. The whole point of the Crafty was to give Mighty-esque performance in a smaller package, so losing digital display and half the battery life were necessary sacrifices IMO. If someone is turned off by the app, well, they could always just pick up the Mighty instead.

I just ordered a Stealth Black MV1 with an extra battery, fast charger and crucible holder! I bought it from a Canadian website that sells Vaporizers (don't recall if I can give the exact website name). They're an authorized dealer and he gave me the best deal I could find north of the border. I contemplated waiting for something better on 420 but I really don't see myself getting it any cheaper. At least that's how my brain is justifying it . I'm just excited to join all you other MV1'ers!
I suppose I could go back and re-watch all the user videos but I feel pretty confident I'll be able to nail the technique. Thanks for all the info everyone has given on this long thread, you guys and gals helped solidify the decision with you kind and rational words.

Good choice. To further justify, remember that if you waited for a savings special for 420, you won't be able to enjoy the Ghost now.I contemplated waiting for something better on 420 but I really don't see myself getting it any cheaper. At least that's how my brain is justifying it
So, once you get your MV1, enjoy it and wait for a special. You might see that you 'could have' saved $10-$15, BUT you wouldn't have the MV1 in your hands, and isn't that smile on your face worth $10?

Disclaimer: My wife works for Ghost Vapes. Take that into consideration when reading my posts in this thread. I will attempt to present factual, impartial information on Ghost products, but won't blame you one bit if you think I am biased towards this company.
Testing a problem vape can get frustrating...I commend your attitude! On-demand convection portables can be tricky, but very rewarding.
Three crucibles is too few, imo, unless you're doing 20 hits per crucible on the concentrate setting, or some crazy use like that. Or if you're doing one crucible and letting is sit for a few days before the next one, with the battery fully attached (currently, the battery drains through Bluetooth with the battery attached). Given your needs, I assume you're doing all three all in the same day? Can you briefly describe the heat settings and temps used before the battery runs out?

Yes, stickstones brings up a good point. When you finish a session, disconnect the battery by sliding it up & pushing it back down as this breaks the sleep mode connection & puts the vape back into shipping (off) mode which will disengage the bluetooth from draining the battery. Then when you are ready to use it again, take it out of ship mode by holding down the mode button until you get the 3 green lights. Then turn the unit on by pressing the mode button 3x. You will then see the center green light lit.
