***Gamers*** What are you playing?

I'm also not gaming much anymore, but when I gamed more I would always play a new game a lot and older games less often, but already for years I haven't gotten any new games since all new games are too heavy for my computer, the newest game I have that I can play on this is GTA san andreas(but it's slow and not as smooth as it should)
lately I've been gaming a bit more often, first rise of nations and now red alert 2, and since a few days I have discovered I can build next to captured tech buildings wich has made it a lot easier(gap generator+ some defences and my moneysuply is secured)

So I guess this means I'm growing out of them (if you ask me why, Id say its because im 23 and have get to involve myself with any worthwhile activities that could potentially help produce income later on, so If im just sitting here in my parents basement playing video games I feel as if I'm selling myself short).

Anyway I just wanted to see if anyone else here has the same issue, and how they came to terms with it!

Well, if it can put your mind at ease, I'm 68 years old and played WoW for years as well as Skyrim, Mass Effect, etc etc etc. So........in a way, it can all come around full circle. While you may give it up now to pursue something more worthwhile, once you do and attain what you want to attain, video games like these and others will be there for you when you retire and want to get into them all over again.

A friend justlent me the Bourne Conspiracy. Came out a few years ago. It seems to be telling the book's story more than the movie's story, but it's a lot of fun so far. The hand-to-hand combat is a lot of fun, but the shooting is a little crappy. Still, a very fun little game I'm enjoying!

I don't game much anymore, but for some reason when I do its mainly xbox live arcade games. Just started playing a game called Outland, its badass so far.

My PC is so old warcraft 3 is one of the only games it can handle.
Mainly just tower defense-like games on battle.net

I'm a fighting game player. Street Fighter, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Mortal Kombat mostly.

Once you get used to how these games operate, how to do combos, etc., it becomes more about reading your opponent, baiting them to do certain things and reacting to what they do than being the best at pressing buttons. In other words, when you reach a competitive skill level it's really more about strategy and decision making than knowing the flashiest looking combos. I've always felt like time slowed down when I smoked, but it didn't translate all that well to videogames-- they'd definitely be way more fun, but I wouldn't be able to use it to my advantage. I could see everything coming in slow motion but I couldn't really do anything with the information.

Since I got my vape....yeah. It sounds stupid but it's practically my secret weapon when playing, especially in Street Fighter. I get that same time slowdown feeling, but since it's so clean and I'm so clearheaded, I honestly feel like I play waaay better after a vape. It almost feels like I'm Peter in this scene (around 1:35)

Obviously getting compleeeetely blitzed would start having negative effects on performance (though it sounds fun ), but a regular session honestly feels like it boosts my skill level haha. I go to tournaments occassionally, and while I never tried smoking out in the parking lot before, best believe at the next tournament I'm rolling with my Solo!

Before that we played MKA at the same rate
