Firewood Vaporizer

Green goes to brown, n that's what I stand for.
Any tips you can give as to best bowl size, best heatup times, etc. I do notice that good heat only comes after a few minutes, but like I mentioned, I did get really high even before the bowl began to brown.

Is there a certain hitting technique as with the mflb?

If you ever get concentrates this thing is a great convection vape for them. Same style as the Nano. I would be curious if those Nano stems fit in, you'd probably notice a better hit watching the coil glow and sticking a stem in just be careful ;).

My capsule setup. Good for travel and keeping little bits of medicine out of your mouth.

Here is my capsule set up. I do push the bottom screen up just a bit to give me a little more leeway from combustion. I have never combusted though. I'm still trying to perfect my technique as well. I try to preheat it for at least 20 secs before taking a draw. Sometimes I try short puffs and other times I take slightly longer/harder pulls and that can produce some good vapor. I have noticed that once the unit is up to temp the draw gets more restricted. That is usually when the vapor gets thicker. See if you notice the same. I'd like to know if the same thing happens to other peoples units.

That doesn't happen for me. I normally inhale fairly fast and long with my unit. I use a bit of underdog thin tubing for my bowl though. I know its amazing if you have a 14mm UD GonG the FW slides perfectly on it, bringing it too close to the coil is an easy way to combust though.

@Madcap79 Here are some examples, the most recent with the Purpleheart FW has the mouthpiece from my O-Phos connected to the small silicone chamber with a basket screen.

This thing is amazing. (Skipped 27 count 1 off after 26.)

Figured that video wasn't going to work. Sorry for the dp.

Darn time..
Log like stem
First off, the tubing I used is from the MFLB whip, you want to first slide on the O-ring then the tubing, followed by the wood slab and capsule (wiggling may be required to force it in).

@firewood This is what I would like to see but without having to use tubing.

Wow I'm surprised the E-Nano stem is wider than the Hammer and Underdog, I thought it would have been thinner.

Nice! So will a Hammer stem work? I was thinking about using one. Got them soaking right now. Time to experiment!:science:

EDIT:

Damn my sideways pictures!!!!! Anyway, here is my first idea. Hits great! Better than the capsule. Not as convenient for on the go though. Gotta devise a way to cap the bowl with another screen. Anyway.....

Anyone still using their Firewood? Just got one used off another Member. Definitely hit well after getting it heated up nicely, but it took a few minutes to get a good hit as the bowl was packed with a lot. Next time i'm gonna try it with less and see how it performs. I did get very blazed though before even getting a visually satisfying hit, and much more so afterward. Bowl was about 1/3 full and cooked surprising evenly for never being stirred.

yea i currently use my firewood 2.1 walnut finish on my lunch break daily. thought about getting other portables like the arizer solo after i used my friends but i just honestly love the flavor and portability of it and i definitely won't shell out another 100$+ when i already have a hitter in my pocket.

Let us know more about it. I can't say that I know of a good portable vaporizer for buds. I wish I knew how it compares to the Magic Flight Launch Box.

It's an interesting budget vape, I use my 1.0 pretty infrequently and I would say that the biggest issue is leaning on the heater button for ~90 seconds for initial heatup is a bit of a pain. It looks nice (still like new) and fits in the pocket well, definitely better than a cheap pen or some plastic pos vape but I wouldn't want one as a daily driver. Even though I don't use it much I still don't want to part with it. Yet lol, ymmv, etc.

I don't think this technique is an option for the 1.0 (no capsules)?
I'm actually using a hammer stem with the orange oring. I'll post a pic of the whole setup or maybe a video. You don't use the capsule at all.

@grokit Here you go good sir. It may not work with the v1.0? It works WELL in the v2.1.

I pulled the trigger on a Walnut Firewood yesterday and it shipped this morning. I can't wait for it to arrive. Full disclosure: My first vaporizer was an Eazy Vape Digital purchased from a local smoke shop (which I hated), then a Classic Vaporgenie which is my current daily driver and now the Firewood. I will post a review once it arrives.

Update: The Firewood arrived today! There is something which concerns me though. I set the Firewood to charge and the charger emitted red but after 2 hours or so the light turned green. The instructions advise the Firewood to be charged for 5-6 hours before the first use. Has anybody had a similar experience?

What's the issue? It showed a full charge, they reccomend a longer charge the first time. But it doesn't meant it'll take all 5-6 hours to charge..

 That's what I figured but wasn't sure if it was okay to leave it charging after it showed green. Will this affect the battery life at all?

Besides that, it's a great vape. I'm really enjoying this thing at the moment. Excuse me while I kiss the sky

Hey everybody peeps! :)

I was lucky enough to drop onto this lovely little walnut block on the bay a few weeks ago & thought I'd finally take the opportunity and post up a few pics if anyone would like to see . . .

^^^She's second-hand brand-new & allegedly unused. Introducing a new member to the family - Firewood. 2. point. OOOOOOOOH!!!
Sometimes eBay . . . you spoil me!

^^^Hello cutie-pie

^^^Whoa! Hello there! :brow:

Yep, I gotta say I was pretty instantly impressed with her output - tasty clouds for sure. Economical too - small loads which are good to just take a fairly nice & relaxed 4 - 5 draws from & then dump.

F-dub has a very solid feel in hand, finished nicely, she has a somewhat simplistic charm which I definitely find myself a sucker for.

As for the wood - it does make me drool! I was so lucky walnut was offered up because I really like the darker pieces & the pattern of the grain is sweeet. Plus she compliments my walnut Daisy rather nicely.

Good wood times! :D

Thank you @firewood

:peace:

Been using the FW for a couple days and my initial impressions are good. The entire system is very aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. I foresee that cleaning will be a breeze; so far I have only needed to pull a q-tip soaked in iso through the glass mouthpiece. The vapor quality is impressive, too. When you hit the sweet spot the vapor is clean, tasty, and potent. It did take longer than I expected to heat up but I have found that airflow is just as important as firing control. Shortly put: it's a rewarding vape.
