Thanks for testing the capsule for me! Appreciate it.

I emailed Marc and asked about the fat x and he asked if he should put me on the list, so I think that currently its best to email him if youd like one soonish.

Someone mentioned that the lack of an off/on option means that the battery can run down from accidental button presses in one's pocket- is this really true? There is really no way to turn the device off, other than removing the battery? The pdf of the FATX manual that was posted has been taken down.

This seems like a very crazy design decision for a portable device if i am actually understanding correctly. This device has been through a bunch of iterations- how does it not have an on/off capability by version 10? Maybe something to include in version XI?

I had been very interested in this thing to supplement my TM2, but have lost all interest if you really can't switch the thing off to put it in your pocket. Please tell me that i am mistaken so that i can go back to drooling over it.

You are correct, there is no way to turn it on/off unless you remove the battery.

Yes, but to actually turn it on your pocket would need to hold the button in for an extended period of time. I”ve never worried about that at all. A momentary “press” would result in the buzz indicating power level. You’ve got to press and hold for the heater to engage.

I'll give you one guess what's been happening to me the last couple of days when out of the house. It may be more of an edge case for others, but that doesn't mean it isn't an issue for some.

Of course, theoretically Ideal. I say so because there is no other information.
Sorry, missed this, what metric are you using to define this? I ask cos you've used some dubious ones already.

Ouch- hot pockets but not in a good way! Sorry to hear this.
Yeah, cos I'll be walking I'll miss the buzzes. And with all that being said, I've taken it out with me today cos I've got a bag with me so I can carry the batteries seperate to the vape and it's really hard to show it off if I don't have it!

Did any of the older firewood models have a on/off button or that’s how it’s always been? I understand how it could be a concern for some. In that case, I’d opt for a case, like a Duba one.

The 7, 8, and 9 did not have a dedicated off switch. I don’t think any of the prior iterations had one either but I am not 100% sure.

They did not, but the button being ever so slightly recessed appears to have mitigated the problem a lot for me with them as I can swipe my finger across them and not fire em, whereas the F.A.T. X goes off every time.
